81 - The two teams have met on 81 occasions, with England winning 49 times, Pakistan triumphing 30 times, while two games have yielded no result.

One - This will be the first occasion that the two teams are meeting in the Champions Trophy, which is remarkable considering that this is the 8th edition of the tournament.

3 - The two teams have met in knockout matches in ODIs 3 times, with Pakistan holding a 2-1 advantage.

41 - The two teams have met each other in England in 41 ODIs with England winning on 26 occasions, Pakistan triumphing on 14 occasions, while 1 was a no result.

5 - Pakistan have lost 4 out of the last 5 meetings between the two teams. This was in the bilateral series between the two teams in England, in August/September 2016.

7/36 - The best bowling figures for Pakistan are 7/36 by Waqar Younis at Headingley on 17th June 2001.

4/15 - The best bowling figures for England are 4/15 by Bob Willis at Old Trafford on 24th May 1978.

444 - England’s highest team total is 444/3 at Nottingham on 30th August 2016. This is the world record for highest team score in any ODI.

353 - Pakistan’s highest team total is 353/6 at Karachi on 15th December 2005.

6 - There have been 6 five wicket hauls in ODIs between the two teams. All six have been by Pakistani bowlers. Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq, Umar Gul, Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal have achieved this feat.

1/1 - Both sides have chased a total in excess of 300 against each other once in ODIs. England chased down Pakistan’s 304/9 at Karachi on 24th October 2000, while Pakistan chased down England’s 302/9 at Cardiff on 4th September 2016. Coincidentally, Cardiff is the venue for the semi-final.
