Subrina Munroe and Kycia Knight have joined the Windies squad for the rest of the World Cup. They have come in as a replacement for Shakera Selman and Shamilia Connell.
West Indies have not had a great World Cup so far, they have lost their first three games and they have also lost two of their fast bowlers due to injury.
Shamilia Connell, a Windies pacer injured her hip during her match against the Indians and she was ruled out of the World Cup. Shakera Selman was hit by the ball on her helmet while fielding during the match against Australia, she was also ruled out.
Subrina Munroe has not played much of cricket, she has only played 23 ODIs the last one she played was in May 2015. Munroe will be playing her 24th ODI after three years. Kycia Knight on the other hand played her last game in November 2016 and scored a half-century in the last game she played.
Windies have lost three of their games with four games remaining. They need to bounce back and win the games to go through to the Semi-finals
West Indies will be playing New Zealand in their next game on 6th of July.
