Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma will miss India's first Champions Trophy 2017 warm-up match against New Zealand.
Yuvraj is recovering from a viral fever while Rohit will join the squad on Sunday, after taking permission to attend a wedding.
BCCI stated,
“
The BCCI Medical Team confirms that Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh who is presently down with viral fever is making steady progress. There are no major health concerns and he is recuperating well, to the satisfaction of the medical team.
”
Rohit Sharma is still in India attending a wedding and will join the team in England on Sunday.
India will play two warm-up matches, one against New Zealand and one against Bangladesh, before heading to Birmingham to play against Pakistan in their first Champions Trophy 2017 match on June 4th, 2017.
