Former Sri Lankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene has signed on as the head coach of Bangladesh Premier League team Khulna Titans for two seasons. 

Jayawardene, who just recently coached the IPL team Mumbai Indians to a victory in the 10th edition, played for Dhaka Dynamites in the BPL last year. 

He said,

I enjoyed playing in the BPL last year and that has given me a great insight into what will be required to be successful in the 2017 tournament. BPL is an exciting tournament for Bangladesh, as well the region as a whole, and I am excited to be partnering with one of the most respected and forward-thinking franchises. 

” 

BPL 2017 starts on November 4th, 2017, with the players' draft to most likely be held on September 16, 2017.
