Meanwhile, England have decided to rest Alex Hales, Joe Root and Moeen Ali, all part of the ODI squad, for the one-off T20 game against Sri Lanka.

ECB selectors have also named two new players for the T20 side -- Tymal Mills and Dawid Malan. Mills is said to be one of the fastest bowlers in the domestic circuit in England.

England Test captain Alastair Cook was quoted as saying -

The guy can bowl quickly. He's obviously worked on his skills: he can change-up from a 93mph thunderbolt to a slower ball.

Middlesex batsman Malan was rewarded with a place in the England T20 squad after his impressive show against Pakistan A in UAE. He is likely to open the innings for England along with Jason Roy.
