Sri Lankan batsman Dinesh Chandimal has had surgery on his hand after he injured it during a domestic match.
Chandimal suffered multiple dislocations in his right thumb. The recovery period for the injury is 3 weeks.
However, Chandimal is expected to recover in time for Sri Lanka's tour of Zimbabwe in October and November.
Sri Lanka recently concluded their series against Australia, where Chandimal stood as captain in place of injured Angelo Mathews.
