Ishant Sharma has been ruled out of the 1st Test between India and New Zealand due to illness.
Sharma is recovering from the disease “chikungunya” and will not play the 1st test but he hasn’t been ruled out of the series yet.
India’s coach Anil Kumble said,
“
We will be closely monitoring his progress with the doctors, and then we will take a call about his fitness after this Test. For this Test match the team management has decided we won't need a replacement.
”
India take on New Zealand in the first Test match from 22nd September 2016.
