134.4 - Warrican to Smith, FOUR, quicker and just outside off, Smith kneels down and reverse sweeps it fine, connected it well and placed it to perfection - wide of short third man

133.4 - Kraigg Brathwaite to Smith, FOUR, fired onto the pads, Smith stoops low and swipes it through backward square, the fielder was square and he had no chance to stop the ball

132.2 - Roach to Voges, FOUR, Voges continues to have a fine year. Brings up his 4th Test ton. He simply can't stop scoring against West Indies. Raises his bat and soaks in the applause. Smith goes up and embraces him in a hug. He too kisses the crest on the helmet. What a year it has been. Coming to the ball, full and on off, Voges leans forward and flicks it elegantly wide of mid-on, the timing takes care of the rest

126.2 - Brathwaite to Voges, FOUR, "catch" shouted Brathwaite, Ramdin had to be Superman to get there. Short and down leg, Voges helped it on its way with a pull, got it off the glove and the ball went fine

117.5 - Warrican to Smith, FOUR, half tracker on the stumps, Smith pivots on his front leg and pulls it behind square on the on-side, Taylor tries to hunt the ball down but all in vain

115.0 - Brathwaite to Voges, FOUR, banged in halfway down, Voges swivels across, is hurried onto the pull, the top-edge flies towards fine leg, Roach gets across, dives and gets a hand, but the ball escapes to the fence

114.4 - Brathwaite to Voges, FOUR, it was the sucker delivery from Brathwaite, full and wide outside off, was the off-cutter, Voges went chasing after it, the ball takes the outside edge and goes low to first slip, Bravo was standing wide, he dives to his left and gets a hand, but can't hang on. That will go down as a dropped catch

112.1 - Brathwaite to Voges, FOUR, that is fifty for Voges. He keeps racking them up against West Indies. The 100-run partnership also comes up. It was pitched up on off, Voges whip-drives it past Smith at the non-striker's end, the ball raced away to the fence

106.5 - Roach to Smith, FOUR, consecutive boundaries. Just a bit of width available, Smith waits for the ball to arrive, opens the bat face and guides it to the vacant third man region, no stopping that

106.4 - Roach to Smith, FOUR, a gift from Roach which Smith accepts gleefully. Juicy full toss on off, Smith punches it back past Voges, mid-on gives chase and comes second

104.3 - Roach to Voges, FOUR, bad delivery and deserved the treatment, short and outside off, Voges cuts it powerfully behind square, none of the fielders bothered to chase it down

100.0 - Holder to Voges, FOUR, pitched up and Voges takes the aerial route. Plants his foot forward and hammers the drive uppishly to the right of mid-off, though he didn't middle it, the ball had enough to reach the fence

99.2 - Holder to Voges, FOUR, drops it short and gets punished. It sat up nicely outside off, Voges went back and cut it behind point, past the diving backward point fielder

96.2 - Jerome Taylor to Voges, FOUR, the plan almost worked. It was not all that short, it held its line as well, Voges shapes up to play the cut, the under-edge goes past the off-stump. He was cramped for room and was lucky not to have dragged it on

93.5 - Holder to Voges, leg byes, FOUR, Voges missed out on four runs. Holder slants one onto the legs, Voges flicks and fails to connect, the ball brushes the thigh pad and runs away fine

92.4 - Jerome Taylor to Voges, FOUR, first boundary of the day. Short and outside off, Voges' eyes lit up seeing the width, he cracks it up and over gully, no half measures went full throttle and connected well

89.3 - Kraigg Brathwaite to Voges, FOUR, overpitched and Voges won't miss out on such opportunities. He leans forward and whip-drives it straight down the ground, the timing takes care of the rest

88.2 - Jerome Taylor to Voges, FOUR, Voges doesn't let go of a scoring opportunity. Short and width offered, he goes back and cuts it fiercely behind point, past the diving fielder and into the fence

83.4 - Holder to Smith, FOUR, Smith is feeding off these short deliveries. He pulled this off the front foot, it didn't have enough venom to trouble Smith, who put it away nonchalantly to the deep mid-wicket fence

82.3 - Jerome Taylor to Smith, FOUR, Smith is going to feast on such deliveries. It was slightly short and on off, Smith is quickly into position, swivels and pulls it behind square, no chance for the fielder in the deep

81.5 - Holder to Smith, FOUR, that is right in Smith's zone. Short and on off, Smith was on the front foot, but went back quickly and pulled it in front of square, not a muscled moved in the field

71.5 - Warrican to Burns, FOUR, lovely shot! Burns shimmies down while giving himself some room, gets underneat the flighted delivery and lofts it beautifully inside out over extra cover, sweeper had no chance of cutting that off

64.2 - Brathwaite to Burns, FOUR, everything going Australia's way. It was full and wide from Brathwaite, Burns threw the kitchen sink at that, the outside edge flies over the slip cordon, no third man and that's four more

54.3 - Jerome Taylor to Khawaja, FOUR, seems like a competition between the two batsmen as to who will get their hundred first. Short again, wide again, back cut again behind square, Roach had no chance this time as well

54.2 - Jerome Taylor to Khawaja, FOUR, short and width offered, Khawaja hangs back and cuts it behind square, there was a fielder at deep point and he doesn't bother to chase it down

53.5 - Warrican to Burns, FOUR, that is another top shot. Burns takes a couple of steps down the wicket, gives himself some room as well, opens the bat face and drives it beautifully through cover-point. He is into the 90s

46.4 - Kraigg Brathwaite to Burns, FOUR, once more Burns isn't afraid to use his feet, gets too close to the ball and ends up slicing it over a deepish mid-off, the fielder was interested for a while, but the ball sailed over him

46.0 - Warrican to Burns, FOUR, top shot! Bit more air on this delivery, Burns shimmies down the track, isn't to the pitch of the ball, but still goes through with the loft, hits it over Khawaja and picks up four more

42.1 - Holder to Khawaja, FOUR, Khawaja is looking more like his old self. This was not all that short, he picked up the length early, rocked back and pulled it past the diving mid-wicket fielder, no need to run for those

37.4 - Roach to Burns, FOUR, cheeky! Touch short in length and just outside off, Burns waits for the ball to arrive, opens the bat face and steers it through the slip cordon, placed it between second slip and gully

36.5 - Holder to Burns, FOUR, long half volley and Burns is all over it. It was outside off, he gets a good stride forward and crunches the drive past the diving cover fielder, the ball raced away to the fence

35.1 - Roach to Khawaja, FOUR, fifty for Khawaja. "He is straight back into the runs," says Michael Slater. Short and width on offer, Khawaja cashed in, he went back and cracked it behind square. He raises his bat and acknowledges the applause from the MCG crowd

34.2 - Holder to Burns, FOUR, it was the gamble from Holder and he has to pay price, he tests the middle of the pitch, Burns can't control the pull and the top-edge goes fine

34.0 - Roach to Khawaja, FOUR, glorious shot! Not all that overpitched, Khawaja gets a slight move forward and middles he drive, no need to run for those

25.4 - Brathwaite to Burns, FOUR, there are two men out in the deep for the pull, but Burns splits them to perfection. Banged in halfway down, Burns pivots on the front leg and pulls it right between the two men

24.4 - Jerome Taylor to Burns, FOUR, nice little outswinger from Taylor. Fuller and shapes away around off, Burns is half-forward and feeling for the ball, the thickish outside edge dribbles away behind point

22.4 - Jerome Taylor to Khawaja, FOUR, this was not all that bad. It was short of length and just outside off, Khawaja swivels across, fetches the pull and places it behind square leg, giving fine leg no chance

21.5 - Brathwaite to Burns, FOUR, Brathwaite overcompensates for being too short, overpitched this time and outside off as well, Burns gets nice and low, opens the bat face and square drives it through cover-point for another boundary

21.3 - Brathwaite to Burns, FOUR, bad delivery. 128.3ks short of length delivery, Burns was into position quickly, went back and pulled it over square leg, none of the fielders bothered to chase it down, Brathwaite knew that he had dished out a rubbish delivery

15.5 - Brathwaite to Burns, FOUR, loose delivery. Full and drifting onto the pads, Burns gets a faint tickle on the glance, the ball races away to the fine leg fence

6.4 - Jerome Taylor to Burns, FOUR, poor delivery and punished. Short and outside off, Burns throws the kitchen sink at it, cuts it up and over the slip cordon, the ball runs away to the third man fence

6.1 - Jerome Taylor to Burns, FOUR, crunched! Pitched up looking for some away movement, the ball goes gun-barrel straight, Burns presents the full face of the bat and drives it past the bowler, mid-off was square and he simply could watch the ball go past him

2.3 - Jerome Taylor to Warner, FOUR, wow! Warner is turning it on here. That came right off the meat of the bat. Overpitched outside off, Warner leans forward and caresses the drive wide of cover, no need to run for those

2.1 - Jerome Taylor to Warner, FOUR, once more a West Indian bowler errs in line and pays the price, short and width provided, Warner moves quickly onto the back foot and flays it through extra cover, the timing takes care of the rest

1.3 - Roach to Warner, FOUR, Warner is on fire. Bad signs for West Indies. This was not all that short, but Warner was quick to pick the length, rocked back and muscled the pull in front of square, hat-trick of boundaries

1.2 - Roach to Warner, FOUR, horrible delivery. Short and width on offer, Warner's eyes lit up as soon as he saw that, jumped off his feet and carved it over backward point. He didn't middle, but the ball had enough to reach the fence

1.1 - Roach to Warner, FOUR, Warner is away. That is a freebie from Roach. Short and on leg-stump, Warner gets inside the line, helps it on its way to fine leg, the fielder was square and he had no chance of stopping it

0.4 - Jerome Taylor to Burns, FOUR, Burns is off and running. Banged in halfway down, it sat up for Burns, who transfered his weight onto the back foot and pulled it over square leg, even the heavy outfield couldn't prevent the ball from reaching the fence

53.4 - Warrican to Burns, SIX, lovely shot! The mid-off fielder was brought in. Burns uses his feet to get to the pitch of the flighted delivery, he lofts it handsomely over long-off for a maximum

43.5 - Warrican to Khawaja, SIX, fabulous shot! Khawaja dances down the wicket, meets the pitch of the ball and has a free swing of the arms, lofted it beautifully over long-on and it went the distance

84.1 - Jerome Taylor to Khawaja, out Caught by Ramdin!! Another lucky breakthrough for West Indies. But they will take that. Once again the crowd are up and applauding. It has been a magnificent return to the side. Khawaja waves his bat to all corners of the G. It was not a wicket taking delivery, short and sliding down leg, Khawaja gets inside the line, looks to glance it but can only manage a feather on the way to Ramdin. Some respite for the visitors towards the end of the day. Khawaja c Ramdin b Jerome Taylor 144(227) [4s-6 6s-1]

73.2 - Kraigg Brathwaite to Burns, out Stumped!! Finally, the 258-run stand has been broken. A fine innings come to an end. The crowd are on their feet and Burns acknowledges that with the raise of the bat. Something for the West Indies to celebrate as well. The part-time spin of Brathwaite has got them a wicket. It was cleverly bowled, he saw the batsman advance and pushed it wide, Burns couldn't keep it out and Ramdin whipped the bails off in a flash. Burns st Ramdin b Kraigg Brathwaite 128(230) [4s-16 6s-1]

4.1 - Jerome Taylor to Warner, out Caught by Samuels!! He lives by the sword and dies by it. This is a huge wicket for West Indies. Something to keep them going. Banged in short and angled in from round the wicket, Warner didn't have the room to get the pull away, splices it towards cover, Samuels backtracks and almost spills it, but the veteran manages to keep his eyes on the ball and hang after a couple of juggles. Warner c Samuels b Jerome Taylor 23(12) [4s-5]

82.1 - Jerome Taylor to Khawaja, 1 run, shelled! It was a regulation catch and Samuels has spilled it. Rank long hop outside off, Khawaja jumps and cracks the cut in front of square, he can't control it and it went waist high to cover, Samuels tries to take it with his fingers pointing upwards and ends up grassing it

22.5 - Jerome Taylor to Khawaja, 2 runs, dropped! That would have been a stunner. Fuller and inviting the batsman to drive, Khawaja takes the bait and flashes hard, the ball flies off the thickish outside edge to the right of gully, Blackwood dives and gets a hand, but the ball doesn't stick

132.4 - Roach to Voges, 1 run, another 200 partnership. Too full and on off, Voges clips it to deep square leg

127.4 - Kraigg Brathwaite to Smith, 2 runs, hundred for Smith. It is his 13th Test ton. Raises the bat, hugs Voges and kisses the crest on the helmet. He is now the leading run-scorer in Tests this year. Flighted around off, Smith eases it with soft hands in front of sweeper, calls for two and sprints back to get to the milestone

122.5 - Brathwaite to Voges, 3 runs, too straight, on middle and leg, Voges shuffles across and clips it behind square leg, by the time Taylor got across and fired the throw, the duo had run three and brought up the 150-run stand

120.2 - Brathwaite to Voges, leg byes, 1 run, Holder made a late call to challenge the decision. It was the nip-backer from Brathwaite, Voges was caught on the shuffle, is struck high on the pad. The impact was in-line but the ball was heading over

102.1 - Roach to Smith, 2 runs, fifty for Smith. The Australian run-machine rolls on. Short of a length and outside off, he stands tall and punches it through cover-point, settles with a couple. Just a raise of the bat from the skipper

57.3 - Warrican to Khawaja, 1 run, hundred for Khawaja. His third in Tests. He is elated and what a comeback it has been. Straight back into the team and a ton to his name. Slower and turning in, Khawaja works it to square leg, Bravo makes a slight fumble and the batsmen steal a quick single

57.1 - Warrican to Burns, 3 runs, there it is! Burns wins the race. Brings up his 2nd Test ton. A hundred on Boxing Day, doesn't get any better. He is delighted and so are the crowd. 44.2 - Hazlewood to Brathwaite, FOUR, Brathwaite is not going to hang around. If there is an opportunity to score, he won't miss out, short and width on offer, Brathwaite flexes those muscles and slaps it over mid-off for the first boundary of the day

89.5 - Lyon to Jerome Taylor, out Caught by Nevill!! Lyon has his fourth wicket! This was tossed up on off and went with the angle, Taylor was playing for the spin, pushes forward and gets a faint edge. Good grab from Nevill, everyone knew that it was OUT, Taylor doesn't even bother to ask his partner about a review, off he goes. West Indies lose their ninth wicket. Jerome Taylor c Nevill b Lyon 15(21) [4s-2]

83.4 - J Pattinson to Roach, out Lbw!! This was always on the cards. Roach was moving far too across his stumps. Pattinson decides to target the stumps, keeps it full on middle, Roach shuffles and fails to make contact with the flick, is rapped on the pads and the impact was in front of middle. Umpire Gaffaney had no doubt in giving that out. Roach tried his luck with a review and wasted one. Roach lbw b J Pattinson 22(44) [4s-3]

71.3 - Lyon to Brathwaite, out Caught&Bowled!! Finally, the partnership has been broken. A fine knock comes to an end. The Aussies are delighted. The change of angle from Lyon worked in his favour. Comes round the wicket, tosses it up on off, Brathwaite leans forward, closes the bat face tad early, the leading edge was going over Lyon, who leaps up and pouches it safely. That was a terrific catch as he timed his jump to perfection. Brathwaite c and b Lyon 59(126) [4s-2 6s-1]

Ramdin c Burns b Siddle 0(4)

37.5 - Lyon to Blackwood, out Caught&Bowled!! That's a soft dismissal for Blackwood, he doesn't make most of the reprieve in the last over. 25.2 - J Pattinson to Samuels, out Lbw!! Wicket No. 3! Pattinson has his second and Samuels goes for a duck. He is having a horrid time with the bat. He doesn't even consult Bravo for a review. Walks back dejected! Samuels lbw b J Pattinson 0(3)

23.5 - J Pattinson to Rajendra Chandrika, out Lbw!! A total misjudgement from Chandrika. It was the nip-backer from Pattinson, landed on a length and curled in, Chandrika didn't offer a shot thinking the ball wouldn't do enough, well it did and struck him on the back pad around off. Ball-tracking confirmed it was crashing into off-stump. The impact may have been outside off, but that won't apply when you are not offering a shot. Rajendra Chandrika lbw b J Pattinson 25(76) [4s-1]

15.1 - Lyon to Kraigg Brathwaite, out Caught by Burns!! Wicket straightaway for Lyon. He was bowling well and troubling both the openers, finally has one. Khawaja c Ramdin b Holder 56(61) [4s-5]

10.3 - Brathwaite to Warner, out Caught by Holder!! Maiden Test wicket for Brathwaite. He is thrilled to bits. Runs across the ground, slides and salutes. Warner c Holder b Brathwaite 17(22) [4s-1]
