Rising Pune Supergiants have signed on Imran Tahir for the upcoming season of the IPL.
Tahir has been signed as a replacement for the injured Mitchell Marsh, who left Australia’s tour of India midway and will be on the sidelined for nearly 9 months.
Currently the no.1 ODI and T20 bowler, Tahir went unsold in the IPL auction.
The Supergiants got to pick a player from the unsold players' list and decided to bring on Imran Tahir.
Tahir has previously played for Delhi Daredevils and was released last year.
The Supergiants are making a lot of changes, with the most recent being the removal of MS Dhoni from captaincy and appointing Steve Smith as the new captain.
The IPL begins on 5th April 2017.
