Johnson: "I think we did a really good job. David Warner started off brilliantly for them, but we pulled it back nicely. I can do anything in this game (referring to opening the bowling), but you have to adapt in this game. I have been a little bit expensive in the tournament, but it is nice to contribute. Moises Henriques and Naman Ojha tried to resurrect their fortunes, but at a crucial juncture of the innings, Ojha was dismissed. Axar Patel turned out to be hosts' trump card as he picked up a couple of wickets. He even winkled out the dangerous Warner. Johnson also snared two scalps. There is a bit of help for the seamers, but one expects PUN to overhaul the target.
PUN put up a disciplined effort to restrict the opposition to a par score. In fact, David Warner gave the visitors a rousing start. He walloped the likes of Mitchell Johnson and Sandeep Sharma to all corners of the ground. In a single over from Sandeep, he carted the swing bowler for four boundaries. However, once he was dismissed, HYD lost their way.

We face him a lot at home, my focus was to use his pace. I got the better of him today, but he might get me next time. We had a right balance for today's game. For this game, we got the balance correct, next game we need to see."
Bailey: "Batting (when asked what went wrong). Top-order again. I have to take the responsibility. Me and Vijay were getting a partnership, but I got out. The bowling was good to restrict them to 150. We are just trying to get a combination that works. I think no team are trying any harder than last year and we are not trying any lesser. Davey (Warner) started well for HYD, but we pulled it back nicely. Sandeep and Anureet have been performing for us at the start as well as the death which is good to see."
For PUN, it was Axar, who also shone brightly with the ball. Just when Warner looked set to crack a big score, Axar prised him out to stem the run flow. Henriques and Naman Ojha then played useful hands to give the bowlers something to bowl at.
HYD's bowlers showed resolve and determination to enable the visitors win a key encounter. Trent Boult and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a wicket apiece with the new ball to put PUN in a spot of bother. Karn Sharma and Moises Henriques backed them up by bowling with good control. For PUN, Axar Patel and Saha tried to make a good fist of the chase. However, HYD's spearhead, Boult, knocked over Axar to seal the fate of the home team. David Warner too deserves credit as he marshalled his resources well.
