18.5 - Donald Tiripano to Nabi, FOUR, there's his fifty off a good old French cut. Excellent yorker on leg, but Nabi swings it off a thick inside edge down to the boundary. Shahzad is all pumped up in applause

17.5 - Panyangara to Shenwari, FOUR, whoa! He's gone for the reverse hoick. And he's top-edged it over the keeper for another boundary. Waited for the slower short ball, then swiped hard and gets lucky

17.4 - Panyangara to Shenwari, FOUR, drilled down the ground. Near yorker on off, Shenwari hits it hard and to the right of mid-off who covers the necessary ground but then dives over the ball

16.3 - Donald Tiripano to Shenwari, FOUR, expertly ramped over the keeper. Slower short ball on off, Shenwari arches his back enough and then uses his bat as a trampoline. Lobs it way over the keeper's head

15.3 - W Masakadza to Shenwari, FOUR, oh my word! That's gorgeous. Agreed that the ball is too full, and the room is already there but there is something about the lofted inside out drive which makes me go WOW

14.3 - S Raza to Nabi, FOUR, tossed up full on off, Nabi makes room and swings through the line over the bowler's head. Too full so no risk of the ball turning and foiling the stroke

13.3 - W Masakadza to Nabi, FOUR, lovely shot. Goes deep in the crease, makes his own room and back-cuts it splitting backward point and short third man

10.1 - Sean Williams to Nabi, FOUR, deep mid-wicket is around 10 yards inside the ropes to cut the angle I presume but Nabi has muscled his pull wide of him. Poor ball in all honesty. Dragged it down allowing him all the time on the back foot

5.5 - Panyangara to Naib, FOUR, short and asking to be slapped, Naib obliges as he rocks back and pulls it over mid-wicket, raced away

4.3 - Sean Williams to Ali Zadran, FOUR, and Zadran joins the party. Bends his back knee and drives this fullish ball past a diving cover, classy stroke amongst slaughter

3.5 - Donald Tiripano to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, from round the wicket, pacy short delivery and Shahzad has used the pace to deflect it over backward point with a late-cut, over and wide of the fielder

3.4 - Donald Tiripano to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, wohooo! This is some hitting from Mohammad Shahzad. Goes deep inside the crease and drives this fullish delivery wide of mid-off. Raced away like a tracer bullet

3.3 - Donald Tiripano to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, now he is showing his range! Saw third man was up inside the ring and went for a ramp shot over him, just massaged the ball by opening the face, no stopping that

2.0 - Chatara to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, alters his length this time but Shahzad doesn't alter his plans. He seems to be in Sehwag mode now. See-ball, hit-ball. Throws the kitchen sink at this and slots it over backward point, a couple of fielders gave chase but to no avail

1.5 - Chatara to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, jeez! This man packs a punch. Look at that shot! Sees the length short, swivels and rolls his wrists on the pull, there was short fine but he had no chance to clasp that....and that gets the crowd going

1.4 - Chatara to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, don't bowl there to Shahzad. Short and well wide of off, Mohammad Shahzad leans on the back foot and clatters it through cover, off the meat of the blade

1.3 - Chatara to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, he's had enough! That's murdered. Stays solid inside the crease and flat-bats this back of a length delivery back over the bowler's head. The umpire had to duck as it was hit so powerfully, flew off the bat like a rocket

19.1 - Chatara to Shafiqullah, SIX, plonks his back leg well across reading the wide line ploy from round the wicket, his trigger movement means that the full ball is right in his arc, launches it over long-on with a violent swing

18.0 - Panyangara to Shenwari, SIX, that's gone high. And it's landed somewhere in the long-off stands. He wound up violently, saw a slower length ball outside off, reached out and then gave it a full monty with his upper body on the verge of falling over

15.5 - W Masakadza to Nabi, SIX, too short. Masakadza has had a poor game with the ball on a pitch which is assisting him. A blatant drag-down on off stump, Nabi jumps back and wallops the pull over deep mid-wicket

15.1 - W Masakadza to Nabi, SIX, drops it short on off, turns away slightly but it doesn't matter as Nabi has mowed it over wide long-on. He's playing a flier here

4.1 - Sean Williams to Mohammad Shahzad, SIX, and he has deposited Williams into the wide long-off stands. Admires the stroke while sinking on one knee. Jeez! That's some pose. Can someone find the ball please? Backs away, sits on one knee and smokes this nicely, invitingly tossed up delivery for a maximum. That sends jitters into the Zimbabwean dressing room. Dav Whatmore wears a worried look on his face...

19.5 - Chatara to Shafiqullah, out Nabi Run Out!! Tries a yorker outside off but overcooks it. By quite a bit actually. Startles Shafiq as he tries to scoop it away and fizzes past his right shoulder through to the keeper. He was crouching and it wasn't above the waist (had he been in his stance). This time Mutumbami fires down the stumps as they attempt a bye. Nabi run out (Mutumbami) 52(32) [4s-4 6s-2]

18.4 - Donald Tiripano to Shenwari, out Caught by Sibanda!! Finally, Zimbabwe have seen the end of this murderous partnership. But it's done all the damage. 98 runs in quick time. Shenwari lost his shape this time. Slower ball and he swung off his feet, spooned it off a thick top-edge straight to deep mid-wicket. Shenwari c Sibanda b Donald Tiripano 43(37) [4s-4 6s-1]

8.0 - Panyangara to Ali Zadran, out Caught by S Raza!! Panyangara again! What a day he is having. Afghanistan are commiting hara-kiri here. Can someone imagine what Mohammad Shahzad will be thinking right now? It was pitched on a length and just outside off, Zadran shuffles and whippily flicks it over mid-wicket. Was trying to loft but couldn't get the elevation. The ball finds the toe-end and finds Raza at long-on who takes a tumbling catch. Ali Zadran c S Raza b Panyangara 10(14) [4s-1]

7.3 - Panyangara to Naib, out Bowled!! Panyangara, Panyangara, Panyangara - Will he be the hero for Zimbabwe today? Looks like lady luck is shining on him. It was a delivery that deserved a maximum but he managed to hit the timber courtesy a mistimed Naib pull stroke. It was short and slipping down leg, Naib swivels and goes hard on the shot, ends up dragging it off the glove and the bails fly high. Naib b Panyangara 7(7) [4s-1]

5.3 - Panyangara to Stanikzai, out Caught by S Raza!! Stanikzai departs for a second-ball duck. How big a wicket is this? I remember watching Panyangara on telly before the start of this game. He mentioned: "We have to be on top of our game" and gee! Hasn't he delivered? Quite early to make such a statement but nonetheless he has got the big fish. It was slightly short and wide of off, Stanikzai charges down and fetches the ball from there. Went for a cross-batted smite and short mid-wicket plucks a beauty. Times the dive to perfection (to his right) and snaffles the ball with both hands. Stanikzai c S Raza b Panyangara 0(2)

4.5 - Sean Williams to Mohammad Shahzad, out Caught by H Masakadza!! Silence, absolute silence and why is that? Because, Mohammad Shahzad is on his bike. Played so well so far and now tries a fancy reverse sweep. The ball was tad fuller and fired in around middle and leg, off the toe-end and point fielder crouches low to accept a straightforward chance. Williams came over the wicket for this delivery and that might have forced a false stroke from the big-man. Mohammad Shahzad c H Masakadza b Sean Williams 40(23) [4s-7 6s-1]

18.5 - Dawlat Zadran to Chatara, FOUR, full and in the swinging arc for Chatara, he clears his front leg and muscles it over mid-on

17.0 - Dawlat Zadran to W Masakadza, FOUR, drags his length back and offers some width, Masakadza flays it over vacant backward point and the dive from the fielder in the deep wasn't good enough

12.4 - Shenwari to Chigumbura, leg byes, FOUR, hurrying down leg-side, Chigumbura fails to tickle it away. Beats the keeper to run away

10.4 - Shenwari to Sean Williams, FOUR, there's the intent. Gets as far forward as he could with a stretch and swept it uppishly through mid-wicket

6.1 - Rashid Khan to Sibanda, leg byes, FOUR, flat, quick down leg, Sibanda misses the leg glance, the ball evades Shahzad too and runs away

4.4 - Shenwari to Mutumbami, FOUR, horror ball. Dragged down and further made ordinary with a line down leg, Mutumbami just swiveled and helped it to fine leg

4.3 - Shenwari to Mutumbami, FOUR, now this slog sweep has been dragged off the inner half but it was placed in a safe pocket. Between mid-on and mid-wicket as Mutumbami got on his knee and went through

17.3 - Naib to Panyangara, SIX, and Panyangara does it again! Kind of an action replay of the first ball. Picked the length early and went for a big whoosh, off the middle and way she goes into the long-on stands

17.1 - Naib to Panyangara, SIX, Panyangara, who has had a good outing with the ball, has arrived. And announces the same in grand fashion. Clears his front leg and spanks a length delivery over the long-on fence

13.0 - Shenwari to Chigumbura, SIX, biggie! Dances down the track, gets under this full toss and clobbers it over mid-wicket. Flies all the way. More of this please

2.2 - Dawlat Zadran to H Masakadza, SIX, oh, this has been martyred! Slower short ball, Masakadza picks it like a hawk. Gets taller and pulls it ruthlessly over deep mid-wicket. Is this the floodgate-opening shot?

19.4 - Stanikzai to Chatara, out Caught by Shafiqullah!! Congratulations Afghanistan! It is the first time they have gone past round 1 in the T20 WC. What a thorough performance. Coming to the final nail in the coffin: It was a rubbish delivery to say the least. Flat and short, Chatara had all the time to pick his shot and spot but he could only succeed in finding long-on. Bludgeons it off the toe-end and Shafiquallah ain't dropping that. Afghanistan will now join South Africa, England, West Indies and Sri Lanka for the main round. So that makes it 4 Asian nations in the Super-10 stage. Chatara c Shafiqullah b Stanikzai 8(7) [4s-1]

18.2 - Dawlat Zadran to W Masakadza, out Bowled!! Knocked him over. Shifts to round the wicket for the left-hander and sprays a picture-perfect yorker that was tailing in at the base of off. Masakadza backs away and tries to drill that through the off-side, gets an inside edge which deflects back onto the stumps to say a Hi/Hello. All over...Nearly. W Masakadza b Dawlat Zadran 6(7) [4s-1]

16.4 - Dawlat Zadran to Donald Tiripano, out Donald Tiripano Run Out!! The schoolboy stuff continues... Tiripano dabs this back of a length delivery towards short third man and races through for a quick single. The fielder realized that he needed to go at the bowler's end. Picked the ball quickly and fires a perfect throw that hits the bulls-eye. Tiripano was in but his bat wasn't. IN THE AIR and the TV umpire sends him on his way. Donald Tiripano run out (Shenwari) 2(4)

15.5 - Hamid to S Raza, out Bowled!! Zimbabwe are down and out now. The end looks nigh. The off-cutter from Hamid Hassan, Raza was too ambitious. Moves across the stumps and tries to scoop this over the keeper. Misses it altogether and sees his stumps shattered. Afghanistan can smell blood here... S Raza b Hamid 15(17)

14.3 - Rashid Khan to Chigumbura, out Caught by Shafiqullah!! He has done it again. Rashid Khan - You little ripper! He flighted this ball so cleverly and Chigumbura was enticed to go for a big mow over long-on. The ball dipped and Chigumbura's laden feet swing finds long-on to perfection. Must say it was a very well-judged catch - The ball was in the air forever and Shafiquallah kept his eyes till the last moment and reverse cupped it over his head. Chigumbura c Shafiqullah b Rashid Khan 10(10) [6s-1]

11.1 - Rashid Khan to Sean Williams, out Stumped!! Shahzad has done a Dhoni. Not with a helicopter shot but with a stumping that rivals his hero's. Googly machine dishes out another, Williams perhaps didn't read it. Was on his knees trying to sweep, missed as the ball turned away and Shahzad was quick. Very quick. Sees Williams drag his back leg out and flicks the bails off. No referral upstairs. Helps to idolize Dhoni at times. Sean Williams st Mohammad Shahzad b Rashid Khan 13(16) [4s-1]

10.2 - Shenwari to M Waller, out Bowled!! This is a pudding dismissal. Or a mermaid shot. No feet whatsoever. Stands there looking to poke a defence back. This flatter delivery turns away just a touch - pitches on middle and rips past the stationary blade to take the off-stump down. Zimbabwe on a exit slide. M Waller b Shenwari 7(10)

7.3 - Nabi to Mutumbami, out Caught by Najibullah!! Runs have been choked into a jar and this was coming. Just enough short for Mutumbami to go for the pull. He RSVPs to the invitation, swings his bat across and swings the ball straight to deep mid-wicket. Mutumbami c Najibullah b Nabi 10(12) [4s-2]

6.2 - Rashid Khan to Sibanda, out Caught by Hamid!! There's the Shahid Afridi like celebration - legs spread and hands extended aloft. Slings this quicker wrong'un on leg again from over the wicket, Sibanda looked to sweep. Not too much room to roll his wrists over, gets the top-edge that lobs to short fine leg for an easy catch. Sibanda c Hamid b Rashid Khan 13(21)

3.3 - Hamid to H Masakadza, out Bowled!! And there's the first wicket. Length ball recoiling off the pitch at pace, Masakadza swings across the line looking to mow it ambitiously over mid-wicket. Not to be. Hamid slips in a quick one and gets it past Masakadza's bat swing to peg the middle stump back. H Masakadza b Hamid 11(7) [6s-1]

19.3 - Stanikzai to Chatara, 2 runs, flat and quick, Chatara goes for a big smite over mid-off but ends up slicing it towards deep point. Dawlat Zadran runs around and manages to catch the ball on the move. But the ball bursts through his hands. Smiles all around the Afghanistan camp

4.2 - Shenwari to Sibanda, 1 run, dropped! Dawlat Zadran at mid-wicket got his fingertips to it - had slanted to his left with his hand reverse-cupped but just couldn't hold onto it. Shortish ball and Sibanda gets away with the mistimed pull. Poor cricket all around

16.1 - Dawlat Zadran to W Masakadza, 1 run, comical stuff! Masakadza drills this fullish ball to mid-off. Donald Tiripano left his crease and was keen on the single, Masakadza wasn't. Sends his partner back and Donald Tiripano might have been a goner had the throw from mid-off hit the stumps. The backing up isn't great and the duo steal a run via the overthrow
