17.3 - Nabi to KD Shah, FOUR, wohoooo! That's from ABD's textbook. Reverses his stance and goes for a big whoooshing swipe over backward point, off the middle and way she goes into the fence

15.4 - Rashid Khan to Anshuman Rath, FOUR, good use of the feet from Anshuman Rath! Charges out and meets the pitch of this flighted delivery and smacks a soaring drive through extra cover. Long-off ran to his right and puts in a dive but he ain't stopping that

8.4 - Rashid Khan to Atkinson, FOUR, it's been a rather ordinary over. After all the buildup, he comes in and does this. Rank long-hop on the stumps, Atkinson bends his knees to compensate for the lack of bounce, and swings it behind square with a pull

5.3 - Nabi to Campbell, FOUR, it's been a very underwhelming over so far. Drops it short this time outside off, Campbell stands tall, allows it to turn in and then punches nicely through the covers

4.1 - Shenwari to Campbell, FOUR, looped up very full, most batsmen will put it away without much hassles. Campbell isn't any different. Clears his front leg and blazes it through the cover region

3.3 - Dawlat Zadran to Campbell, FOUR, picks the slower ball and clatters it through extra-cover. Sat up to be hit from a back of a length just outside off, Campbell backs away once more and then comes down powerfully on the ball

3.2 - Dawlat Zadran to Campbell, FOUR, nah, too short and wide. On top of that, Campbell creates his own room by moving to leg, flashes hard at it and the thick edge flies away fine of third man

2.1 - Hamid to Campbell, FOUR, the seam is pointing towards leg-slip, the ball obeys and cuts back in towards off from a length, but look at that from Campbell. Just eases on the front foot, gets beside the ball and lets his hands flow through the off-drive wide of mid-off

1.5 - Dawlat Zadran to Atkinson, FOUR, swivels inside the line of a short ball, sees it all the way, then utilizes the pace on it to pull it over short fine. Looked pretty elegant as he twisted on the back leg

17.4 - Nabi to KD Shah, out Caught&Bowled!! Four-fer for Mohammad Nabi. Hong Kong in deep, deep trouble now. Fired it fuller and around middle and leg. KD Shah might perhaps have been carried away by the previous stroke. Aimed for a agricultural swipe over mid-wicket and feeds a fat, top-edge to the leather. The ball skies high towards mid-wicket and Nabi wanders around to accept it gleefully. KD Shah c and b Nabi 11(14) [4s-1]

13.4 - Nabi to Nizakat Khan, out Stumped!! Phewf! Look at that attitude from Mohammad Shahzad. He takes his own, sweet time glares at the batsman and then thumps the bails. That makes for some viewing I must say. Nabi saw Nizakat Khan advancing down the pitch and sprayed a flat ball just beside the tramline (outside off). Nizakat Khan expected it to turn but it wasn't to be. Plays a nothing shot and sees the bails fly in opposite directions courtesy a flamboyant stumping from the keeper. Nizakat Khan st Mohammad Shahzad b Nabi 8(10)

9.5 - Naib to Chapman, out Bowled!! Timbaaahhh! What a ripping delivery. Smashed into the blockhole, goes right through Chapman who is late to bring his bat down. Rattles the furniture. So, after a good start, Hong Kong are toppling now. From 40/0, it's 61/4. Chapman b Naib 8(11)

9.0 - Rashid Khan to Atkinson, out Bowled!! He's done him with a googly. Spot-on this time. Flatter, quicker, and turning in slightly from outside off, I think Atkinson read it as he tried to tuck it through the on-side. But he is beaten for pace and turn on the ball. Pegs back the off-stump. Atkinson b Rashid Khan 16(20) [4s-2]

6.0 - Nabi to Hayat, out Caught by Shenwari!! Such a soft dismissal. Uses his feet but still doesn't get close to the pitch, ends up playing the flick well in front of the body, no way he could have kept it down as he reached out for it. Chips it to mid-wicket. Hayat c Shenwari b Nabi 0(2)

5.4 - Nabi to Campbell, out Bowled!! Campbell can count himself slightly unlucky. Of all the places the ball could have ricocheted off the forearm, it's rolled back to the stumps. Tried a sweep but couldn't control the bounce, pops up off the forearm, then bobs off the helmet and rolls back to take down the bails. Campbell b Nabi 27(24) [4s-5]

6.1 - Shenwari to Atkinson, 1 run, that's been dropped by the keeper. Usually, I'm not too harsh when it comes to caught behind chances off a spinner. But the deflection wasn't too much this time. Tossed up outside off, draws Atkinson into a cover-drive, then turns away to take a feather but the keeper can't hold on

18.0 - H Amjad to Najibullah, FOUR, Hong Kong and Scotland have been dumped out. A direct shootout between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will give us an elitist Super Ten. And Afghanistan pummel their opponents to a win. And get there aptly. Horror delivery down leg, Zadran just turned and tickled it away. A ball that sums up Hong Kong's bowling and Afghanistan's intent

17.4 - H Amjad to Najibullah, FOUR, even lesser effort this time. And how do you hit on the up here at the VCA? Stayed in the crease, allowed the length ball to come in and let out a flowy punch through long-on

17.3 - H Amjad to Najibullah, FOUR, short ball sitting up pretty, Zadran stood tall and pulled it handsomely over mid-wicket

14.2 - Campbell to Nabi, FOUR, even better. Enough width outside off and a full toss as well for Nabi to free his arms. Just stays put, flows into an inside-out loft and catapults it over cover

14.1 - Campbell to Nabi, FOUR, too mediocre stuff and it deserved that. Dragged down actually, Nabi shimmies forward, gets under it and muscles it over mid-wicket, for a one bounce four

8.5 - Campbell to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, juicy full toss from Campbell, Shahzad waltzes down the track and slogs it away to the deep backward square leg boundary

7.5 - Aizaz Khan to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, the slower one that is bowled outside off, Shahzad stays slightly leg-side of the ball and neatly dabs it to third man, where the fielder dived, but to no avail. Malleable wrists on view, on that occasion

5.2 - Nadeem Ahmed to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, flighted delivery and just outside off, Shahzad stays slightly leg-side of the ball and plays the lofted drive to the deep extra cover boundary. It crashed into the ad-cushions there

4.5 - T Afzal to Mohammad Shahzad, FOUR, Shahzad makes room before the ball is delivered as he wanted to open up the off-side. He gets the required width to crack the cut past the diving backward point fielder. It scurried to the fence

3.1 - Nadeem Ahmed to Ali Zadran, FOUR, tossed up delivery and just outside off, Zadran goes up and over the infield on the off-side with a loft and it runs away wide of long-off for a boundary. Classy shot from Zadran

0.2 - T Afzal to Ali Zadran, FOUR, good length delivery and slanted in, Zadran prods forward and drives it off a straight blade past the mid-on fielder for a boundary. Nice timing on that stroke

6.3 - Anshuman Rath to Mohammad Shahzad, SIX, now that was one mighty hit by Shahzad. It is measured at 88 metres. Shahzad waltzes down the track to a delivery that is bowled slower through the air and gets to the pitch of the ball to loft it over long-on for a maximum. He kept his head very still while executing the shot

5.5 - Nadeem Ahmed to Mohammad Shahzad, SIX, well, Shahzad has taken a heavy toll of the free-hit. Dragged down delivery and begging to be clobbered, Shahzad pulls it with raw power and it clears the mid-wicket fence with utmost ease

16.3 - Nadeem Ahmed to Shafiqullah, out Caught&Bowled!! That was eerie. Flatter delivery well outside off, Shafiq was low trying to get hold of the ball with a sweep. But a hint of turn and the angle eked out a toe-end and Shafiq's bat-swivel meant that the edge traveled back. Nadeem Ahmed ran forward, rather sprinted to pouch that low. Shafiqullah c and b Nadeem Ahmed 3(7)

14.5 - Campbell to Najibullah, out Ali Zadran Run Out!! 2 runs completed. Flighted outside off, Najibullah forced it past mid-off. He thought there was three there but the fielder gives chase, rifles the throw back at the striker's end. Noor Ali fails to make it back in. Atkinson had to dive and his arm disturbed timer with the ball in his hands. Ali Zadran run out (Hayat/Atkinson) 35(37) [4s-2]

14.3 - Campbell to Nabi, out Bowled!! Now this was flirting with the overambitious territories. Can understand the urgency after two back-to-back boundaries. Campbell bowls it slow on middle, Nabi was early into his ugly cross-batted slog. Missed and the ball carried on with the angle to top the off-stump back. Nabi b Campbell 17(11) [4s-2]

10.4 - Campbell to Mohammad Shahzad, out Caught by Anshuman Rath!! And he perishes. That flat-footed defence off the last ball was an omen. Comes running down the track wanting to tonk this out of the park. Hit it alright but couldn't thrust the shot with the power needed to clear Vidharba's long boundaries. Pouched at long-off. Mohammad Shahzad c Anshuman Rath b Campbell 41(40) [4s-4 6s-2]

13.0 - Campbell to Nabi, 2 runs, this is self-immolation from Hong Kong. A catch dropped at deep cover. Nabi had backed away and Campbell tried to bowl it slow and wide. Instead it's a full toss, Nabi throws his hands at it. Not enough power into the shot and he mistimes it over vacant point. Kinchit comes running in and across from the deep, grabs it but spills it while plunging forward

6.4 - Anshuman Rath to Mohammad Shahzad, 1 run, slower through the air and outside off, Shahzad uses his feet, but gets too close to the pitch of the ball. He squeezes it out to cover
