50.0 - Pradeep to Southee, FOUR, on a good length and on the stumps, it was the slower ball from Pradeep, Southee looks to heave it away and drags it through backward square leg off the inside half of the bat, the fielder in the deep runs across to his right, puts in the dive but the ball trickles away to the fence

44.1 - Siriwardana to Doug Bracewell, FOUR, down the leg-side, Bracewell kneels down and sweeps it to the right of deep backward square leg, the fielder runs across and puts in the dive, but allows the ball to escape through. Should have done better there

39.4 - Chameera to Doug Bracewell, FOUR, short and wide outside off, got the punishment it deserved. Bracewell gets on top of the bounce and cuts it square of the wicket, races away to the fence in a jiffy

39.1 - Chameera to Mitchell Santner, FOUR, just short of a good length and just outside off, Santner hangs his bat at it as he looks to run it down to third man, the ball takes the outside edge and runs away in the gap between the keeper and gully, third man runs across to his right but the ball beats him to the fence

36.5 - Jeffrey Vandersay to Mitchell Santner, FOUR, full toss and on the pads, Santner sinks down on one knee and slog sweeps it to the deep backward square leg fence, timed it really well

31.3 - Pradeep to Williamson, FOUR, Pradeep bangs it short but does not get good shoulder on it. Williamson is able to control the pull shot and hits it in front of square on the on-side and it races away to the fence in a jiffy

30.4 - Siriwardana to Williamson, FOUR, Williamson continues his superb form. He composes a well-measured fifty. He has cracked seven fifties in his last 10 games. He raises his bat to acknowledge the applause from the crowd and his teammates. Williamson waits for this full delivery to arrive and drives it through the extra cover region, all along the ground and it hits the fence in a jiffy

25.0 - Dilshan to Williamson, FOUR, advances to get to the pitch of this flighted delivery, lofts it over mid-off, got it off the middle and it crashes into the fence in no time

22.0 - Jeffrey Vandersay to Henry Nicholls, FOUR, that's a good shot from Nicholls. Nicholls kneels down and plays the reverse sweep, gets it fine and to the right of backward point, no need to run for those

17.1 - Jeffrey Vandersay to Williamson, FOUR, floated up on the stumps, Williamson squeezes out the drive wide of mid-on, who gives chase and tries to stop the ball after sliding near the rope, ends up dragging the rope with him and the ball too trickles away towards that area, the umpire checks with the TV umpire and it's been given as a boundary. Rightly so

15.3 - Jeffrey Vandersay to Latham, FOUR, comes down the track to get to the pitch of this loopy delivery slightly wide outside off, Latham drives it past a diving cover and it crashes into the fence in no time

13.5 - Mathews to Williamson, FOUR, sheer class from Williamson! Three boundaries in a row now. This was a short of length delivery well outside off, Williamson opens the face of the bat as he drives it to the left of backward point off the back foot, Dilshan dives across but fails to get a hand on it, runs away in no time

13.4 - Mathews to Williamson, FOUR, consecutive boundaries for Williamson. It was the slower ball outside off, Williamson comes down the track and slaps it through extra cover, sweeper in the deep runs to his right but the ball beats him to the fence

13.3 - Mathews to Williamson, FOUR, that's a great shot! Williamson backs away a touch and punches this short of length delivery square of the wicket, threads the gap to perfection as it races away to the fence in no time

12.4 - N Kulasekara to Latham, FOUR, just over mid-on! Angled in on middle, Latham steps across and lifts it over mid-on, didn't get hold of it but had enough on it to clear the leaping fielder, runs away to the fence

10.2 - N Kulasekara to Latham, FOUR, lovely shot! Latham rides the bounce on this length delivery and punches it through the gap at extra cover, it was timed beautifully and it raced away to the fence in no time

7.2 - Chameera to Guptill, FOUR, that's been crunched! Short and slightly wide outside off, Guptill had all the room to free his arms, he cracks it hard and through the cover region, hits the fence in no time

6.3 - Dilshan to Guptill, FOUR, once again Dilshan drifts onto the pads, Guptill kneels across and sweeps it to the left of backward square leg this time around, no need to run for those

6.1 - Dilshan to Guptill, FOUR, starts off with a real poor delivery. Short and down the leg-side, Guptill kneels down and sweeps it hard to the left of short fine leg, the fielder dives across but fails to stop it, races away to the fence

5.1 - Chameera to Latham, FOUR, nicely done! Latham leans forward to get to the pitch of this full delivery outside off, he drives it in the gap between cover-point and extra cover, crashes into the fence in a jiffy

4.4 - Pradeep to Latham, FOUR, Latham gets in the groove now. He leans forward and drives this on the up, it was uppish but the only man close to it was his partner at the other end, races away to the fence, mid-off ran after it but he had no chance

4.2 - Pradeep to Guptill, FOUR, Guptill has found another gear now. This time he leans forward and drills the lofted drive wide of mid-off, rockets away to the fence in no time

49.5 - Pradeep to Southee, SIX, these runs could well be the difference towards the end. Southee has hit consecutive sixes now. He goes deep in the crease to get under this length ball and this time he lofts it over long-off, got it right off the middle and it goes deep into the stands

49.4 - Pradeep to Southee, SIX, Southee gets the maximum. Full and on the stumps, Southee clears his front leg and hoicks it over the cow corner fence, split long-on and deep mid-wicket to perfection and it sails over the rope as well

42.5 - Siriwardana to Milne, SIX, that's a meaty blow from Milne. It was dragged short by Siriwardana, Milne rocks back and pulls it up and over the deep square leg fence, there was a fielder in the deep but he can only see it sail over his head

36.4 - Jeffrey Vandersay to Mitchell Santner, SIX, Santner dances down the track and lofts this tossed up delivery handsomely over long-off for a maximum

14.5 - Dilshan to Latham, SIX, that's been hammered! Latham nails the pull. Slightly short and outside off, Latham rocks back and muscles it over the deep mid-wicket fence for a flat six

4.0 - Chameera to Guptill, SIX, that's been smacked! Guptill gave himself room this time around and Chameera follows him with a short ball, Guptill muscles the pull and hits it flat over the deep mid-wicket fence for the first maximum of the day

49.1 - Pradeep to Doug Bracewell, out Caught by (sub)Senanayake!! Bracewell departs in trying to score some quick runs. A low full toss outside off, Bracewell comes across and swings across the line, he wanted to clear the mid-wicket fence but didn't get the desired distance, the fielder at deep mid-wicket stations himself under it and takes the simplest of catches. Doug Bracewell c (sub)Senanayake b Pradeep 30(34) [4s-2]

41.5 - Chameera to Mitchell Santner, out Mitchell Santner Run Out!! Another one bites the dust. Santner failed to pull this short delivery on his body away and Bracewell calls him through for a leg bye as the ball rolls away to his left. Seeing the bowler run in towards the ball, Bracewell decides not to take the single but Santner was way out of his crease. He turns back and tries to reach the crease, puts in the dive but the underarm throw from the bowler catches him short. He might have actually injured himself a bit too in trying to get inside the crease. The decision was sent upstairs but it was an easy one for the third umpire. Santner walks back disappointed. Mitchell Santner run out (Chameera) 38(46) [4s-2 6s-1]

37.4 - Pradeep to Ronchi, out Caught by Kapugedera!! Pradeep has produced a fine bouncer to prise out a key scalp. Ronchi tried to pull it off the front foot, but it hit the splice of the bat and went high up in the air. Kapugedera at mid-wicket runs to his right, sets under it and snaffles the catch. Ronchi c Kapugedera b Pradeep 7(13)

32.1 - Siriwardana to Williamson, out Caught by Chameera!! Siriwardana would bowl better deliveries than this and still might not pick up a wicket. But he has got the big fish off a juicy full toss here. Williamson danced down the track, but could only swat his big shot straight to the man at mid-on, who moved across to his left and snaffled a rather easy catch. The most important Kiwi wicket has been chugged down. Williamson's shoulders slumped after he played that shot. Williamson c Chameera b Siriwardana 59(73) [4s-7]

27.3 - Chameera to Henry Nicholls, out Bowled!! The tourists have got a key breakthrough here. From round the wicket, Chameera angles it into the left-hander, Nicholls is rooted the crease and chops it onto his stumps off the inside edge as he looks to force it into the off-side. The duo had stitched a fine stand and this wicket would certainly lift the sagging spirits of the Sri Lankan camp. Henry Nicholls b Chameera 20(31) [4s-1]

18.0 - Jeffrey Vandersay to Ross Taylor, out Caught by Mathews!! Taylor goes for a second-ball duck and Vandersay has two wickets in the space of three balls. This was a flatter delivery outside off, Taylor this time goes on theback foot and pushes at it, the ball spins away and takes the outside edge, Mathews at slip takes an easy catch with both hands. Ross Taylor c Mathews b Jeffrey Vandersay 0(2)

17.4 - Jeffrey Vandersay to Latham, out Caught by Pradeep!! Tom Latham is a disappointed man as he walks back to the dressing room. Vandersay gets his maiden ODI wicket! This was dragged down the leg-side yet again, Latham kneels down to sweep, doesn't bother to keep it down and hits it straight down the throat of deep backward square leg, who moves to his left and takes a well-judged catch. Latham c Pradeep b Jeffrey Vandersay 42(47) [4s-5 6s-1]

7.3 - Chameera to Guptill, out Caught by Dilshan!! Sri Lanka get the much-needed breakthrough. Dilshan takes a great catch to send the dangerous Guptill back. This was slightly short and wide outside off, Guptill once again looks to cut it away, goes hard at it and doesn't bother to keep it down. Dilshan at point dives low to his left and takes a good catch inches above the ground. Guptill c Dilshan b Chameera 30(28) [4s-4 6s-1]

46.2 - Doug Bracewell to Thirimanne, FOUR, Sri Lanka win by 8 wickets, their first win of the series. This was banged in short and just outside off, Thirimanne swivelled across, rolled his wrists and pulled it in front of square on the on-side for the winning hit

42.5 - Mitchell Santner to Thirimanne, FOUR, Thirimanne gets the reverse sweep going, tossed up and well outside off, Thirimanne ges into a good position, rolls his wrists across and gets it behind square on the off-side for a boundary

36.4 - Mitchell Santner to Chandimal, FOUR, lovely shot, Chandimal comes down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball, plays with the spin and drives it to the left of mid-on for a single

32.1 - Southee to Dilshan, FOUR, nicely played by Dilshan, on a good length and just outside off, Dilshan gets forward, closes the face of the bat and drives it to the left of mid-on for a boundary

30.2 - McClenaghan to Dilshan, FOUR, the slower short ball from McClenaghan, Dilshan rocks back and pulls it over mid-wicket, races away to the fence

27.1 - Doug Bracewell to Dilshan, FOUR, nicely played by Dilshan, on a good length and just outside off, cross seam delivery from Bracewell, Dilshan goes over mid-on, didn't get hold of the shot, has enough to clear mid-on and rolls away to the ropes

24.5 - Milne to Thirimanne, FOUR, Milne uses the bumper, Thirimanne pulverizes the ball with a crunchy pull. He got right on top of bounce there. It races to the deep mid-wicket fence in a hurry

19.3 - Mitchell Santner to Dilshan, FOUR, Dilshan gets to his 47th ODI fifty in some style. He clears his front leg and slog-sweeps it to the mid-wicket fence. He picked the bones out of that delivery

19.2 - Mitchell Santner to Dilshan, FOUR, this one pitches on middle and leg, Dilshan wrists it to deep mid-wicket. Despite the fielders positioned at deep backward square leg and mid-on giving the chase, the ball wins the race

19.1 - Mitchell Santner to Dilshan, FOUR, Santner starts with a poor delivery by sliding it down leg, Dilshan brings out the slog-sweep and the ball scurries to the fine leg boundary

18.5 - McClenaghan to Thirimanne, FOUR, McClenaghan decides to bend his back and use the short delivery, but Thirimanne uses the pull to good effect and collects a boundary to deep square leg

17.3 - Southee to Thirimanne, FOUR, short and wide, Thirimanne goes up and over the in-field with his cut shot. It races to the third man fence in a jiffy

9.4 - Doug Bracewell to Gunathilaka, FOUR, New Zealand's pacers continue to hurl in bouncers. Gunathilaka though, rocks back quickly to this short delivery from Bracewell and pulls it to the fine leg boundary. Gunathilaka surely has fast hands

8.0 - Doug Bracewell to Gunathilaka, FOUR, Gunathilaka composes his first ODI fifty in style. He stays leg-side of the ball and drills it square of the wicket on the off-side for a crackerjack boundary

7.0 - Milne to Gunathilaka, FOUR, Gunathilaka is playing with a touch of bravado here. Again Milne offers some width, Gunathilaka stands tall in the crease and slaps it over the in-field for a boundary square on the off-side

6.4 - Milne to Gunathilaka, FOUR, width on offer, Gunathilaka picks the bones out of that delivery with a slap. It rocketed to the fence square on the off-side

4.5 - Southee to Dilshan, FOUR, this is poor stuff from Southee. He spears it down leg, Dilshan heaves it to the deep backward square leg boundary. No need to run for those

4.1 - Southee to Dilshan, FOUR, Southee continues to splay it around. Here, he drifts it down the leg-side, Dilshan clips it towards fine leg. The fielder in the deep runs around the circumference and puts in the dive, but to no avail

3.2 - Milne to Gunathilaka, FOUR, good length delivery and outside off, Gunathilaka looks to slap it through the off-side with his feet rooted to the crease. He gets a thick outside edge that flies over the slip cordon for another boundary

3.1 - Milne to Gunathilaka, FOUR, fuller length delivery and just outside off, Gunathilaka bends his front knee and cracks an eye-catching drive. The fielder at mid-off runs across and puts in the dive, but the ball runs past him to the boundary boards

3.0 - Southee to Dilshan, FOUR, Southee bowls the half-volley, with a crisp downward angling of the bat, Dilshan flicks it to the deep square leg fence. This is a good start for Sri Lanka

1.2 - Milne to Gunathilaka, FOUR, pitched up delivery and just outside off, with his elbow nice and high up, Gunathilaka essays the cover-drive. It races all along the carpet to the extra cover fence. The fielder at mid-off gives the chase, but to no avail

43.3 - Williamson to Thirimanne, SIX, lovely shot, Williamson gave this one plenty of air, Thirimanne gets a big stride forward and goes high and over wide long-on, sent it soaring into the stands

10.5 - McClenaghan to Gunathilaka, SIX, Gunathilaka is firing on all cylinders and New Zealand continue to feed him with short deliveries. Here, he gets a top-edge on this pull, but with the wind assisting the shot it sailed into the stands behind square on the on-side

6.3 - Milne to Gunathilaka, SIX, Gunathilaka has that uncanny ability to play it through the line of the ball. A tad fuller and outside off, Gunathilaka plants his front foot and thumps it through the line and down the ground. It clears the boundary rope with ease

5.1 - Doug Bracewell to Gunathilaka, SIX, now that was a glorious shot from Gunathilaka. Bracewell landed it on a back of a length, Gunathilaka lofts it through the line of the ball and straight down the ground. It goes all the way. After playing that shot, Gunathilaka holds his poise for the camera

2.3 - Southee to Gunathilaka, SIX, Southee attempts the bumper, Gunathilaka rocks onto the back foot and hooks it to the deep mid-wicket fence. It easily sails into the stands

33.5 - Williamson to Dilshan, out Dilshan Run Out!! Tragedy for Dilshan, he falls short of a deserving ton. This was tossed up on off, Dilshan got well forward, played with the spin and turned it towards backward square leg. There was no run there, Dilshan wanted one and was well down the track before being sent back. Taylor's return is accurate, Ronchi breaks the stumps even as Dilshan made a futile diving effort. Is there still some hope for New Zealand? Dilshan run out (Ross Taylor/Ronchi) 91(92) [4s-9]

12.4 - McClenaghan to Gunathilaka, out Caught by Ross Taylor!! Now, that was a soft dismissal. Gunathilaka fell for the trap and on expected lines, he is frustrated with himself as he makes the walk back to the hut. It was nothing but a back of a length delivery that was bowled outside off, Gunathilaka just guides it to Ross Taylor stationed at wide slip, who snaffles the catch with both his hands. The ball flew towards Taylor, but the experienced campaigner showed good reflexes. New Zealand needed that breakthrough as Gunathilaka was in rip-roaring form. Gunathilaka c Ross Taylor b McClenaghan 65(45) [4s-7 6s-4]

40.2 - Mitchell Santner to Chandimal, 2 runs, that's a bad drop from Sodhi, this was tossed up on off, Chandimal came down the track, doesn't get to the pitch of the ball, loses his bottom hand and hits it high and towards long-off. Sodhi set himself up nicely, ends up getting into a poor position though, that's a clanger

35.3 - Williamson to Thirimanne, wide, appeal for a caught behind, there was a noise as the ball went past the bat. Williamson was excited and calls for a review. This was tossed up on the leg-stump line and went with the angle, Thirimanne was looking to sweep, nothing on show in Hot Spot, there's some spike mark on the RTS, but it might be the bat hitting the ground, hard to say if there was bat on that, the replays were inconclusive and the decision stays. New Zealand lose their review and a run as well, it's called as a wide

34.1 - Mitchell Santner to Thirimanne, 2 runs, slower and wider from Santner, Thirimanne slaps it behind square on the off-side, comes back for the second run, raises his fifty as well

31.0 - McClenaghan to Thirimanne, 1 run, another slower bouncer from McClenaghan, Thirimanne helps it behind square on the on-side for a single, brings up the 100-run stand as well
