20.0 - Riaz to Woakes, FOUR, the perfect end and Bumble shouts on air about this being a respectable score. Misses his yorker, ends up dishing out a pacy full toss. All Woakes has to do is to use the pace and steers it through point. There is a deep backward point in place. He runs across and dives but only manages to parry it over the ad cushions

19.4 - Riaz to Woakes, FOUR, full toss outside off, Woakes slices it over backward point and skims away into the fence

17.3 - Tanvir to Buttler, FOUR, he's a murderer. Yes he is. Absolutely clatters it over cover. Slower fuller ball wide of off, look at those hands take over. Swings it inside-out

12.4 - Shoaib Malik to James Vince, FOUR, and again! Backs away, Malik follows him by darting it on a length, Vince bends low on one knee and cracks the sweep away through square leg

12.3 - Shoaib Malik to James Vince, FOUR, now the slog-sweep. Runs are beginning to flow off Vince's bat. Doesn't quite hit the sweet spot but placed in the gap

8.0 - Ahmed Shehzad to Root, FOUR, slog-sweep, lobs up, and perfectly bisecting deep mid-wicket and long-on. Didn't get hold of the shot and spooned it off the top of the bat

5.2 - Tanvir to Jason Roy, FOUR, why look to play cute shots when you are so good down the ground. Shimmies down the pitch, it was in the slot, doesn't time his loft all that well but enough to clear mid-on

4.4 - Afridi to James Vince, FOUR, the field is up on the outside as the fielding restrictions are on. Vince takes full toll. Backs away, gets it on a fuller length and lofts it with the turn inside out over the point region

1.2 - Tanvir to Hales, FOUR, slightly full and wide of off, Hales sees the width and his eyes light up. Throws his bat at it looking to biff it down the ground. Slices the shot on impact but enough to clear the infield and roll away over the ropes

17.4 - Tanvir to Buttler, SIX, top edge and .. six! Oh you are kidding me. Actually, it was a poor delivery with no fine leg. Slower bouncer, Buttler top-edges his pull and it carries all the way. I have no words

16.1 - Riaz to S Billings, SIX, gear up, gear up! We have mayhem coming our way. Billings' turn. Full and slingy angled into off from round the wicket, Billings makes room and tonks it back over long-on. Using the long handle like a lever

15.4 - Tanvir to Buttler, SIX, Buttler is transforming into Super Saiyyan mode. Full length ball, he muscles it over long-on. Once that bottom hand takes over, it's goodnight

15.3 - Tanvir to Buttler, SIX, that's a monster. Oh this lad can hit a big ball. Right there on a length, Buttler opens his stance and larrups it over mid-wicket. So much bottom hand

12.2 - Shoaib Malik to James Vince, SIX, oh, genius. Makes room, meets the pitch and simply lofts it inside out over extra-cover. In fact, it carried all the way

12.0 - Riaz to James Vince, SIX, straight down the throat at long-on, oh wait. Tanvir has tipped it over the ropes. He was backtracking, perhaps didn't judge the trajectory in the first place and makes a meal. Vince was hoodwinked by the slower ball and ended up spooning up his heave

10.2 - Shoaib Malik to Root, SIX, finally, breaks the shackles. Was itching for that length. Gets it. Brings out the slog-sweep and pulverizes it over mid-wicket

3.3 - Riaz to Jason Roy, SIX, it's a bowler steaming in and bowling quick, look at the disdain. Charges at him making room while doing so and whacks it over wide long-on. The length was there in the slot and he lets his arms take over. Such clean striking of the cricket ball. This one was flat

2.2 - Anwar Ali to Jason Roy, SIX, no this is not a six, this is a homerun. A monster. What a hit! My word. Length ball on middle and leg, Roy backs away and lets in a clean swing. Clubs it over the mid-wicket boundary. He is in the driving range

18.4 - Anwar Ali to Willey, out Caught by Maqsood!! Tanvir can breathe easier. Doesn't cost too much that drop. Willey has muscled a pull straight to deep square leg. No mistake this time. Short ball which climbed near head height, Willey makes a good enough connection with the pull. Goes hard and flat and straight to hand. Willey c Maqsood b Anwar Ali 4(5)

18.1 - Anwar Ali to Plunkett, out Caught by Sarfraz!! There's another, there's another. Bowls it full and wide out of Plunkett's reach as he was looking to carve it over the off-side. Finds the outside edge and a regulation catch for the keeper. Pakistan keep picking wickets and fighting their way back in. Plunkett c Sarfraz b Anwar Ali 1(2)

17.5 - Tanvir to Buttler, out Caught by Sarfraz!! He's gone, he's gone. This could be a massive moment. A difference between chasing 175 compared to chasing 190 if he was there. Slower good length delivery outside off, Buttler tries a fancy reverse-scoop. No pace on the delivery at all. Just helps it along to the keeper off a top-edge me thinks. Buttler c Sarfraz b Tanvir 33(22) [4s-1 6s-3]

16.3 - Riaz to S Billings, out Caught by U Akmal!! Oh brilliant, just brilliant. Umar Akmal at long-on has kept his composure and pulled off a beauty. Catches it inside the ropes, but his momentum was taking him over. Pauses the world for a moment, brings himself to a stop inches inside. But still his upper-body weight is too much. Tosses it back in while falling over the boundary. Jogs back inside and completes the catch. Billings was deceived by a slower ball and ended up mistiming the slog. Still, nearly carried all the way. Bats these days! S Billings c U Akmal b Riaz 11(9) [6s-1]

13.4 - Afridi to James Vince, out Caught by Anwar Ali!! Afridi has 3 and is now the leading wicket-taker in T20Is. Eclipses Saeed Ajmal. Vince had gone down on one knee looking for his slog-sweep, Afridi cleverly floats it up on middle and leg, bounces a bit more and he ends up top-edging it. Lobs to backward square leg James Vince c Anwar Ali b Afridi 38(24) [4s-3 6s-2]

10.3 - Shoaib Malik to Root, out Caught by Afridi!! similar length, similar shot and .. he's gone. Flatter trajectory, slides on after landing on a length on middle, Root can't quite under it with the slog-sweep on this occasion. Doesn't get the elevation. The ball was flying over Afridi at short mid-wicket. He times his leap to perfection and plucks it off with both hands. Root c Afridi b Shoaib Malik 20(16) [4s-1 6s-1]

6.4 - Afridi to Jason Roy, out Caught by Sarfraz!! Juggle once, juggle twice, juggle thrice and finally it's in. Sarfraz has shown some instinct here. Such awareness. Wasn't an easy take by any means. Slower through the air, lands on a length outside off. Roy sees the flight and throws the kitchen sink on the slog. It was out of his arc and he can only manage an outside edge. Sarfraz played with the ball and came out trumps. Jason Roy c Sarfraz b Afridi 29(22) [4s-1 6s-2]

4.1 - Afridi to Hales, out Lbw!! And straightaway, bingo! How many times we have seen him deceive a batsman by a skidding ball. Pushed through the air at 99ks, very flat trajectory, skids on after pitching just outside off. Hales was duped by the length, thought it was short enough to pull, gets beaten on the bottom edge and hits him in front of middle. Hales lbw b Afridi 11(11) [4s-1]

18.3 - Anwar Ali to Willey, 2 runs, Tanvir drops his second of the night. And his expression suggests "get me out of here". An absolute dolly. Willey is beaten for the lack of pace, it was bowled wide of off too which means that he had to reach out for the leg-side whack. Top edges it and the ball scoops high and down to third man. Tanvir swoops in, gets both hands, juggles a couple of time and eventually shelves

19.2 - Woakes to Tanvir, FOUR, this game never ceases to amaze. Swinging like a pendulum with every delivery. Length ball on middle and leg, Tanvir's bottom hand comes off looking to whack it across the line. Mistimes it. But square leg was up. Clears him and rolls away into the ad cushions. What drama

18.2 - Willey to Sarfraz, FOUR, we are alive. 20 from 10. The slower ball gone wrong, ends up as a low loopy full toss on middle and leg, Sarfraz walks across and flicks it over square leg

16.5 - Plunkett to Afridi, FOUR, I'll ask again, is this his night? What a start. Full on middle and leg, Afridi whips it wide of long-on. Just falls short of the ropes. Loads of bottom hand on the shot

11.1 - Plunkett to Hafeez, FOUR, lovely roll of the wrists. Short of length delivery at the body, Hafeez picks it up with a whip behind square. Allmade possible by his rubber-wrists. Generates tremendous timing

10.5 - Adil Rashid to Hafeez, FOUR, wrong line. Drifts down the leg-side, Hafeez sees the opportunity and makes optimum use. Quick to bend on one knee and sweep it fine beating short fine leg

10.3 - Adil Rashid to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, Malik now decides to open his arms. Puts on his skates and hammers it straight. Straight enough to beat long-on

10.0 - Parry to Hafeez, FOUR, gun-barrel straight. Meets the pitch with nimble feet. Makes sure to leave enough room for a clean flow of the arms and lofts it over the bowler's head

4.4 - Parry to Rafatullah Mohmand, FOUR, anticipates the short ball, stays back in the crease, and thuds the pull through mid-wicket. There is a dive in the deep but the ball sneaks through

3.1 - Plunkett to Rafatullah Mohmand, FOUR, good sharp bouncer with fine leg up, and the gamble doesn't pay off. Rafatullah is hurried on the pull, the ball gets big on him and he can only find a top edge. Lobs over the head of the fielder in the ring

3.0 - Willey to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, Willey has lost the battle in the mind. Offers a full bunger on leg-stump. Shehzad tickles it fine beating the man at short fine leg

2.5 - Willey to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, it's swinging time. Shehzad has decided that he has played enough balls to get his eye in. Clears his leg and whacks this length ball over mid-off

1.5 - Woakes to Rafatullah Mohmand, FOUR, a forehand smash down the ground. Short of length delivery outside off, Rafatullah doesn't bother keeping it down and just biffs it over mid-on

18.3 - Willey to Sarfraz, 6 runs, oh my god, such a nasty twist of fate. Sarfraz was diving back to complete the second, the throw hits him and deflects into the third man fence. Full delivery on middle, drags his slog off the inside half of the bat and was struggling on the second. But destiny had other ideas

17.5 - Woakes to Afridi, no ball, SIX, unbelievable stuff. Pakistan have come roaring back. And should now be an even contest. Woakes has been rattled. That's what Afridi does. Full toss over waist height outside off, carves it over deep cover

17.4 - Woakes to Afridi, SIX, Afridi is weaving his bat like a wand. And has injected a dose of enthusiasm into the crowd. Moves across his stumps, gets a low full toss and whips it behind square

17.1 - Woakes to Afridi, SIX, blockbuster stuff. Afridi is in his elements. Full outside off, slaps it wide of long-off. A flat six

13.1 - Parry to Shoaib Malik, SIX, new spell for Parry and he starts with a filthy half-tracker. Sat up to be hit. And Malik does just that. Thrashes the pull over the ropes

9.1 - Parry to Hafeez, SIX, drops it short and Hafeez pummels it away. Much needed. Hits the pull well and over the ropes of wide long-on

3.4 - Plunkett to Ahmed Shehzad, SIX, in the slot and kaboom! Jadzooka. Length ball on off, Shehzad punishes it with a swing over mid-wicket. Way back into the stands

2.1 - Willey to Ahmed Shehzad, SIX, oh what a hit! Whippy. Full on the pads, Shehzad flogs it over square leg. His feet hardly moved. Just the hands. And the wrists

19.1 - Woakes to Sarfraz, out Bowled!! Oh he's dragged it back on. He's paddled it back on to his stumps. Low full toss outside off, Sarfraz stoops low for the scoop, doesn't make a desirable connection and only succeeds in sending the ball towards the furniture. Eight down now. Tanvir in next. He can smack a ball. Meanwhile, Woakes is on a hat-track. Sarfraz b Woakes 19(13) [4s-1]

18.0 - Woakes to Afridi, out Caught by Plunkett!! A discernable hush descends on the stadium. Afridi, the demon Afridi is walking back. Woakes, after all the damage, has the final say. But what a knock from Afridi. Hardly any 8-ball innings can have such impact. Full outside off, might have been a cutter, Afridi swings hard looking to thwack it over mid-wicket, slices it off a thick outside edge. The ball lobs behind Plunkett at short third man, he backtracks, pouches it close to his chest and keeps control even after a nasty looking fall. Afridi c Plunkett b Woakes 24(8) [4s-1 6s-3]

16.4 - Plunkett to Shoaib Malik, out Caught by S Billings!! Pakistan are going down rapidly. Now, it's the turn of Malik to head back. It's the cutter again. Banged in short on off and middle, Malik cracks a pull, doesn't bother to keep it down and straight to deep mid-wicket. Shoaib Malik c S Billings b Plunkett 26(21) [4s-1 6s-1]

14.3 - Plunkett to U Akmal, out Caught by Buttler!! Umar Akmal is bewildered with the decision. Puts his hand on the hip. But has to eventually drag himself off. And has good reason to be feeling hard done by. Straight off the pad. No bat involved. Length ball drifting on the pads, Umar misses out with his whip, clips the pad and Buttler dives to his left to hang on. U Akmal c Buttler b Plunkett 3(5)

12.3 - Adil Rashid to Maqsood, out Bowled!! Three googlies in the over, Maqsood picked neither. And this time, it crashes into off-stump. Floated up and dips nicely outside off, turns back in beating the inside edge of Maqsood's powerful swing, and clatters the timber. Maqsood b Adil Rashid 2(6)

11.2 - Plunkett to Hafeez, out Caught by Willey!! The seasoned duo has been broken. The move to bring Plunkett back does the trick. Full delivery on middle and leg, closes the bat face too early on the flick and the ball pops up to mid-off. Hafeez, who was beginning to look good, has to make the long walk back. Hafeez c Willey b Plunkett 25(20) [4s-3 6s-1]

8.1 - Adil Rashid to Rafatullah Mohmand, out Stumped!! And he's done in by a smart bit of bowling. The googly which was pushed through the air on seeing Rafatullah skip down. He tries to flat-bat it into the off-side but is beaten by the turn back in. Scoots under the bottom edge and through to the keeper. Buttler is quick to whip the bails off. Rafatullah Mohmand st Buttler b Adil Rashid 23(24) [4s-3]

5.0 - Parry to Ahmed Shehzad, out Stumped!! And just as I say that .. my apologies Shehzad. But it was an ugly shot. Knew he was nowhere near the pitch after stepping out, still tries to whack it against the turn. There is a sufficient amount of it, beats the edge by a mile and an easy stumping for Buttler to effect. Ahmed Shehzad st Buttler b Parry 28(18) [4s-2 6s-2]

0.2 - Willey to Ahmed Shehzad, 1 run, clips it to the right of Hales at mid-wicket, sets off for the run and dives at the non-striker's end. Still, a direct hit would have caught him short
