62.1 - Matt Henry to Khawaja, FOUR, how well has he played the dab today. Waits forever on the back foot, the ball was past him when he just lay a gentle tap on its head to steer it fine of gully

The capacity crowd at the WACA stand up and applaud a top innings. Warner waves his bat around and acknowledges all the appreciation he is getting. Khawaja walks up to him and congratulates him as well. Coming to the ball, this was fraction short and on off, Warner rocked back and pulled it over mid-wicket, soon started celebrating

Just shakes hands with his partner, removes his helmet and sticks out the tongue in customary fashion. Hasn't he been needing this. Pushed through quicker on off from round the wicket, skids on after pitching, Taylor backs away and goes deep in the crease, cuts it late and through to the third man fence

69.3 - Lyon to Williamson, FOUR, lovely use of the crease. Made the stroke possible. Was the slider from Lyon, pitches close to off just slightly short, Williamson goes deep in the crease and makes his own room to play the back cut. No one there square of the wicket

44.3 - Hazlewood to Williamson, FOUR, a cricketing delight. Oh you'd get orgasms watching it. Not all that full, fifth-sixth stump, Williamson doesn't get too far forward but his hands come down so caressingly on the ball. Lazes into the drive straight back down the pitch

21.5 - Mitchell Marsh to Williamson, FOUR, banged in short and at Marsh's pace it sat up nicely for KW, he transfered his weight onto the back foot and pulled it in front of square, no one in the deep to stop that from reaching the fence

18.5 - Starc to Latham, FOUR, gorgeous! Once again Latham holds his pose for the cameras. Fuller and width on offer, Latham leans nicely into the drive, creams it through the vacant cover region and watches it crash into the ad cushions

Real half-tracker on the stumps, Voges swivels across and pulls it behind square. Boofy is thrilled for him and stands up on the balcony smiling ear to ear. Off comes the helmet. Stretches his arms. And gets an embrace from his skipper

57.4 - Craig to Voges, FOUR, quicker through the air, the line is outside off, Voges tries to defend from the crease playing for some turn, the ball doesn't do as much and skids on to find a thick edge. Rolls away wide of slip. Taylor gives chase and looks like he has it covered. But just when he puts in the slide, his knee gets jammed in the turf. Huge cheers from the crowd. Taylor affords a sheepish smile

55.3 - Boult to Smith, FOUR, it's actually a very good delivery, dangling it full and wide after shaking him up. Smith's front foot stays put, still rattled by the previous delivery. Just goes with hands on the drive. But this track is so damn good that it still traces the middle of the bat and laces through the cover region

54.4 - Matt Henry to Voges, FOUR, he has actually picked that from off stump and put it down to fine leg. Full ball, played right around his front pad with the glance and just about got a tickle. Miss that and you are the umpire's bunny

This was pitched up outside off, Smith opens the face of the bat as he goes for a big drive, gets it in the gap between backward point and gully, crashes into the fence in no time

48.3 - Craig to Voges, FOUR, slower through the air but it's on the pads, Voges looks to flick it away, gets an inside edge onto the pad and the ball rolls away fine, Guptill from short fine leg gives chase, puts in the dive near the rope but the ball evades him to the fence. Brings up the 150-run stand as well

45.4 - Southee to Smith, FOUR, fuller length delivery and outside off, Smith drives it hard all along the carpet through the cover-region for a boundary. Lovely timing and placement from the batsman and his head was very still there

42.5 - Craig to Smith, FOUR, inviting loop from Craig, Smith cracks a crunchy drive on the up and the ball rockets to the third man fence

38.5 - Craig to Voges, FOUR, Voges shows that he is a master at playing the reverse sweep. What more? He yet again nails this reverse sweep and the ball scurries to the third man fence

37.0 - Craig to Voges, FOUR, Voges shows good improvisation by bringing out the reverse sweep. This was a flighted delivery from Craig, Voges showed quick reflexes and reverse swept it to third man for another four. Voges used his quick hands to good effect

Doug Bracewell hits a fuller length and tempts the drive outside off, Voges comes half-forward and looks to drive. 11.0 - Doug Bracewell to Voges, FOUR, short, doesn't rise on this WACA pitch even at Doug Bracewell's pace, Voges hung back and dismissed the pull through deep mid-wicket before the bowler could look up in his followthrough

6.3 - Southee to Smith, FOUR, second of the over! On the pads, Smith plays the delicate batter-whip with a shuffle and the ball races to the deep backward square leg fence. All too easy this

6.2 - Southee to Smith, FOUR, if you bowl full and wide, you get that. Nicely stretched hands, not an exagerrated forward lean but the ball finds the middle to get to the deep extra cover fence

6.0 - Boult to Warner, FOUR, lovely. The boundaries keep coming from that big bat of Warner's. Overpitched, yes but Warner meets it with all the timing in the world and the straight dive scoots along to the fence

5.2 - Boult to Warner, FOUR, very full and targeting the pads, Warner waits and meets it with a classy flick, helped to a boundary to deep mid-wicket

4.0 - Boult to Warner, FOUR, the leak continues. Short and wide, not a bad ball to be honest but Warner has a slash at it, gets a top-edge that runs through the vacant third man region for yet another boundary

3.2 - Boult to Smith, FOUR, this is burglary. Short on the stumps, Smith has enough time to go back and swivels to pull this to deep square leg, no man there to intercept that

3.0 - Southee to Smith, FOUR, and another! Southee struck but helped an ominous-looking Smith with two deliveries to feel comfortable in the WACA heat. Lunges forward and times the ball through the cover, yet again

2.0 - Boult to Warner, FOUR, ah, shot! This was gorgeous and Warner has already got the proceedings going with two boundaries in the over. This was full and wide, allows Warner to come forward and flays it with an exquisite cover drive
