12.3 - Shoaib Malik to K Perera, FOUR, well, what has Irfan done at short fine? Perera tries to sweep, gets a top-edge to this tossed up delivery outside off, Irfan doesn't even try to make an attempt to take the catch as he runs behind it slowly and the ball runs away to the boundary boards. Perera with that reaches a fine half-century

This was the slower off-cutter from Rahat, Chandimal was looking to run it down towards third man, gets a faint edge on that. The ball was dying in front of the keeper, but Sarfraz does well to bend forward and takes the catch - inches in front of the turf. 36.1 - Rahat Ali to Thirimanne, out Caught by Rizwan!! Soft dismissal for Thirimanne! This was a nothing delivery from Rahat, full and wide outside off, almost half-volley length, Thirimanne played with an open face, he was looking to guide it square on the off-side. Instead, he guides it straight to backward point. The ball was dying in front of him, but Rizwan does well to bend forward and hold onto the catch, Sri lanka have lost their third wicket, the first wicket that a Pakistan bowler has taken in this match. 33.5 - Irfan to Thirimanne, out K Perera Run Out!! 1 run, leg byes, completed. Yet another Sri Lankan batsman gets run out, this was clipped towards fine leg by Thirimanne, he called for a double and Kusal responds late for the second run, he was too casual while running his first run, Anwar Ali fires a throw to the bowler, who collects and disturbs the bails. It looked like he dislodged the bails with his elbow but that is perfectly fine according to the laws of the game - as long as the ball is in the hand which breaks the stumps. 25.2 - Rahat Ali to Dilshan, out Dilshan Run Out!! He could easily converted this knock into a big one, that's what anxiousness does to you right? Going for a needless single. This was a length delivery outside off, Dilshan pushes it towards cover and calls for a quick single, Shehzad gets across and fires a direct hit at the bowler's end, his throw was spot on and Dilshan was caught short. 21.4 - Yasir Shah to K Perera, 1 run, dropped by Anwar Ali, it was a hard chance though, this was tossed up on the stumps, Perera comes down the track and doesn't meet with the pitch of the ball, still goes through with the loft, fielder at mid-on runs to his right and puts in the dive, gets a hand but fails to latch onto it, was a good try though

27.5 - Rahat Ali to K Perera, 1 run, take a bow Kusal Janith Perera, he reaches his second ton in ODI cricket, when he plays well he looks like a xerox copy of Sanath Jayasuriya, isn't it? he reaches his milestone with a pull through mid-wicket, jumps in the air and pumps his fist, acknowledges the support from the dressing room as well. This is also his first ton at home.

22.3 - Shoaib Malik to Dilshan, 1 run, 10,000 ODI runs for Dilshan, what a moment for him, he is the 4th Sri Lankan to achieve this landmark, he is aware of his record and acknowledges the support from the crowd, he is a relaxed man after getting there. Malik and Azhar Ali shook their hands with Dilshan. He got there with a clip to mid-wicket. Dilshan is a highly under-rated player in Sri Lanka. 26.4 - Gamage to Imad Wasim, FOUR, short again, this one sat up nicely for the batsman, Wasim rocks back and pulls it through mid-wicket, hit that hard and placed it to perfection

25.4 - Lakmal to Rizwan, FOUR, this is punished, fullish and outside off, Rizwan leans on the front foot and places the drive through cover, got enough wood and it raced away

25.1 - Lakmal to Rizwan, FOUR, edged and safe, this was a good length ball in the corridor of uncertainty, got some extra bounce too, Rizwan was looking to drive, the thick outside edge flies between the keeper and a diving slip, Thirimanne was late to react there. Even though he dived to his left it was too late for him

24.0 - Lakmal to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, in the air and safe, Lakmal bowls a bouncer on middle and leg-stump line, Malik goes for the pull and gets a big top-edge that flies over the keeper and into the fine leg fence

21.2 - Mathews to Rizwan, FOUR, very full on the stumps, Rizwan essays a lovely drive through wide of mid-on for a boundary

18.5 - Siriwardana to Sarfraz Ahmed, FOUR, now Sarfraz brings out the sweep shot to a delivery that was tossed up and bowled outside off to collect another four

16.3 - T Perera to Sarfraz Ahmed, FOUR, Perera finally gets a bit more height onto this short delivery, Sarfraz though shows a dash of bravado to pull it in front of square for a a four. The third umpire checks whether it was a four or a six, but in the end it is clear that it bounced inside the boundary rope

15.5 - Senanayake to Hafeez, FOUR, 5,000 ODI runs for Hafeez. He is the 13th Pakistani to register that landmark. Again lovely wrist-work from the batsman as he stays back in the crease and back cuts to third man for a four. Superb use of the crease from him

15.0 - T Perera to Hafeez, FOUR, Perera drags this one short, Hafeez rocks back in a jiffy and pulls it over backward square leg for another boundary. If Perera has to bowl it short, he needs to get it head high

14.2 - T Perera to Hafeez, FOUR, Hafeez is certainly in good touch. Perera bowls this one on a short of length, Hafeez picks the length quickly and pulls it in front of square on the on-side for a boundary

13.2 - Senanayake to Hafeez, FOUR, lovely Asian wrist-work on display from Hafeez. He moved away from the line to cut this slightly shorter in length delivery to sweeper cover for a boundary

12.1 - T Perera to Hafeez, FOUR, pretty shot from Hafeez, fuller and just outside off, Hafeez is standing just outside the crease and that helps him to lean into the drive and find the gap through cover with needlepoint perfection

11.0 - Gamage to Azhar Ali, FOUR, Ali pulls this delivery that is bowled short on the stumps for a four through deep backward square leg. Pakistan needed that boundary

9.2 - Senanayake to Azhar Ali, FOUR, Ali again decides to play an inside-out shot over the off-side, comes down the track, but doesn't get it out of the middle of the bat, luckily for him it goes over the fielder at mid-off for a boundary

8.3 - Gamage to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, fuller and a hint of shape away from Shehzad, Shehzad again backs away, great extension of arms from him as he just drives it through cover for a boundary

8.0 - Lakmal to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, finally, Shehzad succeeds in his endeavour of trying to play an inside out shot through the off-side. He makes room to this back of a length delivery and just lofts it over extra cover for a boundary. He picked the length very quickly there and that was the key point to notice

7.1 - Lakmal to Azhar Ali, FOUR, short of length and going down leg, Ali gets inside the line and just flicks it past the diving fielder at short fine leg for a boundary

6.4 - Gamage to Azhar Ali, FOUR, Ali makes room to this fuller length delivery and lofts it over cover for a boundary. Good for Ali that his bottom hand didn't come off his bat handle there

4.2 - Gamage to Azhar Ali, FOUR, low full toss and was asking to be hit. Ali just leans into the drive and uses the pace of the ball to find the gap through cover with pin-pointed perfection

This was tossed up and held its line outside off, Rahat went for the big slog, doesn't get hold of the shot and hits it in the air towards long-off. Senanayake runs forward and takes a neat catch. This was a length delivery just outside off, Anwar Ali took a step and looked to loft it over the bowler, miscues it completely. 35.1 - Senanayake to Yasir Shah, out Caught by T Perera!! That's a soft, soft dismissal, this one was given more air just outside off, Yasir skips out and looks to loft. 32.1 - T Perera to Rizwan, out Caught by Chandimal!! Pakistan are in deep, deep trouble, looks like it is almost over for them. This was a good length delivery around the fifth stump line, Rizwan wasn't certain on his defence, he goes hard on the push. Got a healthy edge that flies low to the keeper, Chandimal dives low to his right and takes it comfortably. Rizwan c Chandimal b T Perera 29(34) [4s-4]

29.5 - Senanayake to Imad Wasim, out Caught&Bowled!! Sri Lanka's fielding has been very lively today, that was their weaklink throughout the series and today they have put that to bed. This was another sharp catch from the bowler, tossed up on off, Wasim got forward and drove it uppishly. Senanayake dives to his right and takes a good low catch. 24.4 - T Perera to Shoaib Malik, out Caught by Thirimanne!! Woah! that's a sharp catch from Thirimanne at short mid-wicket. Pakistan are having a bad day on the field, didn't turn up with the ball and didn't turn up with the bat too. This was a length delivery from Perera, Malik skips out and looks to heave it over mid-wicket, miscues it completely. Thirimanne dives to his left and grabs a well-judged catch. 21.0 - T Perera to Sarfraz Ahmed, out Sarfraz Ahmed Run Out!! 1 run completed. Pakistan's batsmen chance their arms one too many times and it is Sarfraz who pays the price. Sarfraz opened the face of the bat to steer it to third man, they yet again gamble on taking another run, but Lakmal at third man fires in a rocket-like direct hit and the batsman is well short of the crease. The batsman didn't dive either. He goes back to the pavilion with a forlon look on his face. Sarfraz Ahmed run out (Lakmal) 27(24) [4s-3]

19.5 - Mathews to Hafeez, out Lbw!! Mathews has done the trick for the hosts. This is his 100 ODI wicket and it has come at a crucial juncture of the match. It was a good length delivery that nipped back off the seam sharply, Hafeez tried to work it away through the on-side and missed to be rapped on the pads. Mathews appealed vociferously and the umpire raised his finger. Hafeez went for the review, but it was pitching in line and clipping the leg-stump. So the original decision stayed. 12.5 - T Perera to Azhar Ali, out Azhar Ali Run Out!! Again poor running between the wickets by the two that results in Ali's dismissal. He pushes this fuller length delivery straight to mid-off and sets off for a quick single, but Mathews at mid-off picks it up quickly and fires in a direct-hit and the batsman was well short of the crease. 9.4 - Senanayake to Ahmed Shehzad, out Stumped!! It is Senanayake who finally strikes for the hosts, Shehzad again makes room to loft this delivery bowled outside off through the off-side, misses and the keeper whips off the bails in a flash. Interestingly, Shehzad made an attempt to get back to the crease, but his back heel seemed to be on the line and in the end the third umpire decides he has to take the long walk back to the pavilion.
