The reigning Wimbledon champion was present in Bournemouth.
He was there to play a friendly against a seventeen year old young man who was holidaying there.
The young man won the match, much to the astonishment of the crowd.
Thirty years later, another young man, aged 14, was playing in the Public Schools Rackets Competition during the Easter Holidays. He was one of the favourites and did win his match. Not many at that age did that in the history of the competition.
It was reported that he was an excellent singles players and had a bright future in the game of tennis.
Both of them didn't quite make it big in tennis.
They did rather well in cricket.
