At the beginning of India's tour of England in 1996, Navjot Sidhu left for home due to a disagreement with skipper Mohammad Azharuddin.
It dented the morale of the team and they lost the first Test of the series, going down rather easily.
They did recover a bit and played better in the next two Tests.
