Whew! That was some C-O-L-L-A-P-S-E. From 157/3 to 171 all-out. Here come the players. AB will take strike. Topley will open, one slip..

Dear, oh dear. South Africa have managed to de-robe this new England and effected collapses that are all but embarrassing. Rabada weaved magic in his first over, hit Roy's grille and then followed it up with a off-stump killing delivery. Root went haywire for his 24 runs but Tahir cut it short and Abbott defused the Buttler bomb to invite a slide that has seen England well short of a powering series-levelling score. Abbott managed three wickets while Rabada and Morris took two apiece and it will be interesting to watch England, today light on bowling, attempting to defend this score on a tawa-flat pitch, with the ball paragliding merrily in the high altitudes. Chase coming up in a while..

19.4 - Rabada to Adil Rashid, out Bowled!! That's how fairytale scripts are penned down. With Steyn and Philander warming the hospital beds, a 20-year old steps up, carries South Africa and ends this career-defining tour with an off-stump cartwheel. Full and swinging in, Rashid misses the heave and then there's a woody mess behind. England have been speedbroken for a 171 all out, with the last 7 wickets collectively underwhelming with a mere 14 runs. Adil Rashid b Rabada 2(3)

Rabada to Adil Rashid, THAT'S OUT!! Bowled!!

19.3 - Rabada to Adil Rashid, 2 runs, short delivery and it's too good for him. Looks to tonk it across the line and top-edge flew high over the keeper. No fielder there and it's a couple of runs

19.2 - Rabada to Topley, 1 run, slower yorker length delivery and Topley eases it to mid-on

19.1 - Rabada to Adil Rashid, leg byes, 1 run, that's the circus you don't want to see. Shortish ball outside off, Rashid arched towards off with flat foot to fetch the pull, managed to not connect and ball took his back and lobbed to point

19.1 - Rabada to Adil Rashid, wide, slips it down the leg-side, Rashid turns to tickle but it was way too wide

Kagiso Rabada [3.0-0-24-1] is back into the attack

Over: 19 1 4 1 W W 0 ENG 166/9
Topley 0(1) Adil Rashid 0(0) Kyle Abbott 4-0-26-3

18.6 - Kyle Abbott to Topley, no run, slower delivery on a length, Topley moves across and defends it

Reece Topley, right handed bat, comes to the crease

18.5 - Kyle Abbott to S Billings, out Caught by Amla!! England are done, almost. A slower short ball and Billings pulls it to the only man he shouldn't have. Drags it to Amla at square leg and gives Kyle Abbott an opportunity for a hat-trick. S Billings c Amla b Kyle Abbott 5(6) [4s-1]

Kyle Abbott to S Billings, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

Adil Rashid, right handed bat, comes to the crease

18.4 - Kyle Abbott to Jordan, out Caught by du Plessis!! England resemble an ant-queue hurrying back home. Another one goes and this was not unexpected with a lower order pinch-hitter try to sail you away. Back of a length delivery and Jordan goes hard at it looking to pull. Gets the top-edge and Faf runs forward from mid-off and eats up the sizzler...err...steepler. Jordan c du Plessis b Kyle Abbott 1(2)

Kyle Abbott to Jordan, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

18.3 - Kyle Abbott to S Billings, 1 run, that looked as high as the waist but not given a no-ball. Slower delivery dipping in, Billings tucks it to square leg and then has a chat with the umpire for the possible no-ball call

18.2 - Kyle Abbott to S Billings, FOUR, goes full and wide outside off, Billings bent his front knee and crashed the horizontal-batted drive through covers

18.1 - Kyle Abbott to Jordan, 1 run, back of a length delivery, Jordan gets forward and turns it to square leg to get off the mark

England were 157/3 at one point...

17.6 - C Morris to S Billings, no run, full and wide, Billings reaches out to cut but misses it altogether

Chris Jordan, right handed bat, comes to the crease

17.5 - C Morris to Moeen Ali, out Caught by Duminy!! Duminy has run across from sweeper cover and grabbed one that's just short of that AB-ending Jordan effort. The slower ball was full, Moeen Ali carves it out hoping to get it over the infield and get a few runs. But Duminy swooped across, dived in front and then pouched it with both hands inches over the ground. And then lets out a celebration while sliding forward. Moeen Ali c Duminy b C Morris 1(3)

C Morris to Moeen Ali, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

17.4 - C Morris to S Billings, leg byes, 1 run, a big forward-and-across stride saves him. Misses a inswinging full ball as he looked to sweep it fine and is hit on the side of the boot. Outside the line of off that

17.3 - C Morris to Moeen Ali, 1 run, full and wide, Moeen drives it with a flowing drive through cover

17.2 - C Morris to Moeen Ali, no run, length ball, Moeen Ali bunts it back with a horizontal bat

Moeen Ali, left handed bat, comes to the crease

17.1 - C Morris to Stokes, out Caught&Bowled!! How eerie was that? There's your quota of the unsolved-mystery movie for the weekend. Stokes departs. Just when he was recovering from Morgan's run out, he reaches out to a widish yorker. Closed the bat face but the ball lobbed up straight and Morris just held it above his head. Another wicket? Morris has appealed and it has been sent upstairs. Legal delivery. Bump ball? No! That's out I reckon..

S Billings 0(1) Stokes 1(2) Kyle Abbott 3-0-20-1

16.6 - Kyle Abbott to S Billings, no run, length ball armoured with nip-and-bounce. Billings reached out and was beaten

16.5 - Kyle Abbott to Stokes, 1 run, if you're getting wickets off them, why not bowl another full toss? Another one outside off, Stokes flogs it to extra cover for a hurried and panicked single

Sam Billings, right handed bat, comes to the crease

16.4 - Kyle Abbott to Stokes, out Eoin Morgan Run Out!! Freakish. There's a Jo'burg vamp that's plotting against England at the moment. Very full ball drilled back, Abbott protracts his right hand in his followthrough and tips the ball onto the stumps. An urgent backing up from Eoin Morgan has consumed him. Eoin Morgan run out (Kyle Abbott) 38(23) [6s-4]

Kyle Abbott to Stokes, THAT'S OUT!! Run Out!!

Ben Stokes, left handed bat, comes to the crease

16.3 - Kyle Abbott to Buttler, out Caught by du Plessis!! And he perishes just after getting to that milestone. Dipping full toss drifting away outside off, Buttler had made too much room to invite that delivery. Reaches out and could only drag it to Faf at extra cover. He stays his ground for the replays to be invited but Faf had done well to dive in front and have his fingers wrapped around the ball. Out and the Buttler's delicacy will be limited to 28 balls. Aren't delicacies always? Buttler c du Plessis b Kyle Abbott 54(28) [4s-4 6s-4]

Kyle Abbott to Buttler, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

16.2 - Kyle Abbott to Buttler, SIX, wow! That's audacious. Plain arrogant. Stays his ground inside his crease, waits for the slower delivery and clubs it over mid-wicket to bring up his 3rd T20 fifty. Swivels, connects and sees the ball sail over

16.1 - Kyle Abbott to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, pitched up outside off, a wide-stanced Morgan reached out and cannons it to long-off

Kyle Abbott [2.0-0-12-0] is back into the attack

Over: 16 2 6 1 Wd Wd 0 2 4 ENG 150/3
Buttler 48(26) Eoin Morgan 37(22) C Morris 3-0-32-0

15.6 - C Morris to Buttler, FOUR, a 17-run over to bring up the 150-run mark. Goes for another yorker, not quite it. Buttler was waiting deep in his crease, heaved it along the carpet and the ball runs off the inside-half through mid-wicket

15.5 - C Morris to Buttler, 2 runs, very effective. Full dipping ball on middle, Buttler had made room with an arched back and he could just dig it out to long-off. Still gets a brace

15.4 - C Morris to Buttler, no run, more like it. Fires in the short delivery, Buttler was hurried but still went ahead with the pull. Doesn't connect and the ball eagles over his head en route to the keeper

15.4 - C Morris to Buttler, wide, some Sunday cardio for the umpire. Wanted to bowl the full-wide ball but flirts past the tramline again, Buttler lifted his bat to let it go

15.4 - C Morris to Buttler, wide, gets carried away and targets the leg-stump of a shuffling Buttler, spears it down the leg-side and it's a wide

15.3 - C Morris to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, brilliant from Miller at long-on. Ran across and picked it up with one hand to follow it up with a rifle of a throw. Ball was bulleted down the ground and Morgan could only get a single

15.2 - C Morris to Eoin Morgan, SIX, it's the Jo'burg Cricketlines that's speeding away. Full ball, Morgan digs deep and slogs it over deep mid-wicket and did it not vrrom over

15.1 - C Morris to Eoin Morgan, 2 runs, not timed at all. Fullish ball, Morgan took his front leg out and mistimed the loft. Ball fell well in front of the long-off fielder running across to cut that off

Chris Morris [2.0-0-15-0] is back into the attack

5 overs to go! How many can England get? They certainly need 200 against SA in this form and on this pitch..

Eoin Morgan 28(19) Buttler 42(23) Duminy 1-0-16-0

14.6 - Duminy to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, very, very full outside off, Morgan squeezes it out to short third man and completes an urgent single

14.5 - Duminy to Eoin Morgan, no run, slower delivery outside off, Morgan creates room and slices it to backward point

14.4 - Duminy to Buttler, 1 run, slung in with a round-armish action, Buttler eases it through mid-wicket for a single of sanity

14.3 - Duminy to Buttler, SIX, the Kookaburra's bleeding in this foil-thin Jo'burg air. Puts on his skates, comes down the track and tonks it over the long-on fielder with a delicious bat swing

14.2 - Duminy to Buttler, 2 runs, Buttler's timing them well. Flat and full, Buttler backed away and bulleted it down the ground. Long-off came running across and just hauled it inside the ropes with a dive

14.1 - Duminy to Buttler, SIX, boom boom! Flatter delivery going away with the angle, Buttler gets hold of it and tonks it cross-batted over deep mid-wicket

Jean-Paul Duminy, right-arm off break, comes into the attack

13.5 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, 2 runs, the 50-run partnership is up. A full ball drifting away, Morgan fetches it with a pushy couple to long-off

13.4 - Tahir to Buttler, 1 run, some flight and Buttler pushes it to long-off for a single

13.3 - Tahir to Buttler, no run, flash and is beaten. A leg-spinner turning away, Buttler flashes hard and misses.

13.2 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, tossed up delivery, Morgan turns it round the corner

13.1 - Tahir to Buttler, 1 run, a full toss drifting away, Buttler reaches out and crashes it to deep extra cover for a single

Eoin Morgan 18(14) Buttler 25(16) Wiese 3-0-40-0

12.6 - Wiese to Eoin Morgan, no run, just short! He's creaming them. A full ball and Morgan eases out the uppish drive which just falls short of the extra cover fielder

12.5 - Wiese to Eoin Morgan, SIX, two in a row! Wiese is the man under the pump. Bends this time and flogs a length ball with a slog-sweep over deep mid-wicket. Flew away, if I might call it that

12.4 - Wiese to Eoin Morgan, SIX, that was so, so anti-Gayle. Just sheer timing. Charges down the ground and lofts with over long-on. Zephyr-like. More of a checked shot that given that he was deceived by the pace but boy it sailed away

12.3 - Wiese to Buttler, 1 run, dipping full ball outside off, Buttler reaches out to it and flays it flat-batted wide of long-off

12.2 - Wiese to Buttler, FOUR, shot! How did he get under that? Full ball outside off, Buttler backs away, throws his hands at that and carves it over extra cover for a boundary

12.1 - Wiese to Buttler, no run, yorker length just outside off, Buttler swings, gets a toe-end and the ball deflects to the keeper. The call has been referred upstairs and it's a bump ball

Over: 12 1 1 0 0 0 0 ENG 89/3
Eoin Morgan 6(11) Buttler 20(13) Tahir 3-0-14-1

11.6 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, no run, another wrong'un. Perhaps reads it this time and protracted his hands to open-bat this ball defensively

11.5 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, no run, didn't read the googly and just pushed flat-footedly at that. The outside edge runs to point

11.4 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, no run, wider outside off, Morgan gets across to flay the drive, not quite there and the inside edge runs towards short fine. ABD sprints to field that

11.3 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, no run, very flat and straight, Morgan clipped it to mid-on

11.2 - Tahir to Buttler, 1 run, follows a backing-away Buttler with a low full toss which is flicked to deep mid wicket

11.1 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, flatter delivery on the stumps, Morgan reverse-sweeps it just wide of backward point and hurries through. The ball's rifled at the bowler's end, Morgan didn't hear the call from his partner and hence was late. Made it back in though

Over: 11 1 0 4 6 1 1 ENG 87/3
Eoin Morgan 5(6) Buttler 19(12) Wiese 2-0-23-0

10.6 - Wiese to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, guides this shortish slower ball to third man

10.5 - Wiese to Buttler, 1 run, low full toss outside off stump, Buttler drives it to long-off

10.4 - Wiese to Buttler, SIX, woww! Just wow! The bat made a cracking sound as it made contact with the ball. Short of a length delivery just outside off stump, Buttler walks out of his crease and just moves across the line as well before muscling the slog over mid-wicket. Cleared the rope by some distance

10.3 - Wiese to Buttler, FOUR, poor ball from Wiese. Can't bowl short and wide with third man inside the ring, the slower ball sat up nicely, Buttler gave himself some room and cut it nicely splitting backward point and third man to perfection

10.2 - Wiese to Buttler, no run, slower delivery outside off stump, Buttler moves across and tries to pull, misses and gets hit on the thigh pad, yells out a loud no to his partner, who was keen for a run

10.1 - Wiese to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, driven along the ground to sweeper cover

David Wiese [1.0-0-10-0] is back into the attack

Over: 10 4 1 0 1 1 1 ENG 74/3
Eoin Morgan 3(4) Buttler 8(8) Tahir 2-0-12-1

9.6 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, googly on the leg stump, Morgan pushes it to cover-point with an angled bat for an easy single

9.5 - Tahir to Buttler, 1 run, very full and on the leg stump, Buttler softly drives it to long-on

9.4 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, this is on the stumps from Tahir, Morgan drives it to long-on

9.3 - Tahir to Eoin Morgan, no run, driven straight to cover

9.2 - Tahir to Buttler, 1 run, this time Faf dives and stops the ball, but can't prevent the run though as he had quite a bit of ground to cover to the right from extra-cover

9.1 - Tahir to Buttler, FOUR, "catch itttt," is the call from the Proteas, but that was hit like a rocket. Googly outside off stump, Buttler drives really hard, Faf is an excellent fielder and even a full length dive from him wasn't good enough

8.6 - C Morris to Buttler, 1 run, short of length delivery outside off stump, steep bounce but Buttler hops and manages to push it to the left of mid-off

8.6 - C Morris to Buttler, wide, Morris tries the slower delivery this time, Buttler was once again moving across the stumps, this one easily missed the leg stump

8.5 - C Morris to Buttler, no run, "ohhh" says Morris after beating Buttler with a length ball that left him off the pitch. Buttler's feet went nowhere, tried to drive away from the body as well and made no contact

8.5 - C Morris to Buttler, wide, Buttler walks across the stumps and exposes the sticks, Morris was probably targetting the leg pole but sprayed it very wide

8.4 - C Morris to Buttler, no run, interestingly this one just shapes away from the right-hander, Buttler drives it to mid-off

8.3 - C Morris to Buttler, no run, shortish delivery outside off stump, Buttler just lets the ball go through to the keeper

8.2 - C Morris to Eoin Morgan, 1 run, short delivery, surprised Morgan there with the extra bounce, the England captain awkwardly manages to dab it to third man, there was a man at slip but it went well wide of him

8.1 - C Morris to Buttler, 1 run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Buttler guides it to third man

7.6 - Tahir to Hales, out Hales Run Out!! 1 run completed. What are England doing out there? Yes, no and Hales is stranded in the middle. Oh my word! That was a shocking call from skipper Morgan. He was charging back for the second, but suddenly decided to turn back and Hales had nowhere to go. Googly on the stumps, Hales works it just past the ring at mid-wicket, the man in the deep rushes and gets to the ball, Morgan realised very late that the fielder quickly got to the ball and sold his partner down the river. Hales is furious with Morgan's call. So two wickets in the over for the Proteas. Hales run out (C Morris/Tahir) 16(16) [6s-1]

Tahir to Hales, THAT'S OUT!! Run Out!!

Eoin Morgan, left handed bat, comes to the crease

7.5 - Tahir to Root, out Caught by D Miller!! In the airrrr and Root's thrown it away as well. England needed him to carry on and Tahir has struck in his very first over. Flighted delivery outside off stump, Root tries to loft it inside-out with the turn, hit it high in the air and it didn't have enough distance. Long-off settled under it nicely and took it reverse-cup style. Root c D Miller b Tahir 34(17) [4s-4 6s-2]

7.4 - Tahir to Root, no run, driven back to the left of the bowler

7.3 - Tahir to Hales, 1 run, Hales hangs back and wrists this through mid-wicket

7.2 - Tahir to Root, 1 run, nice and full and tossed up as well, Root leans forward and drives to long-off

6.6 - Wiese to Root, FOUR, same area and same result. Fullish delivery on the off stump, Root tries to flick hard, the ball went off the inside half of the bat, no one at backward square leg and it's another boundary for Root. He moves on to 33 off just 14 balls

6.5 - Wiese to Root, no run, Root walks towards the bowler, but Wiese shortens his length and Root could only hit it straight to the fielder at backward point

6.4 - Wiese to Root, FOUR, Root is going at a great rate, but this was an ordinary ball from Wiese. Fullish delivery down the leg-side, Root uses his wrists to good effect and flicks it away through backward square leg

6.3 - Wiese to Hales, 1 run, extra bounce and the edge is found. On a good length, but it probably hit a crack or the seam, opened up Hales on his defence and the leading edge flies through the vacant gully region

6.2 - Wiese to Root, 1 run, nice and straight at 133.4kph, Root works it through mid-wicket

6.1 - Wiese to Root, no run, short of length delivery on the off stump, Root works it towards mid-wicket

David Wiese, right-arm fast medium, comes into the attack

Coming back to the Roy dismissal, The replay showed that he was livid with himself as he crossed the boundary on his way back. He knows that he played a rash shot and threw it away. In fact, he also hit the side of the tunnel there with his bat. Wonder if he damaged his bat there, for he hit it pretty hard.

5.5 - C Morris to Root, SIX, Root steps out, lofts and times it well enough to clear the long-off boundary. Good length delivery just outside off stump, Root lofts it off the bottom of the bat, hence it didn't really travel fast, nevertheless a maximum

5.4 - C Morris to Root, 2 runs, short of length delivery outside off stump, Root guides this with an angled bat to square third man

5.3 - C Morris to Root, no run, Root gets behind the line and blocks

5.2 - C Morris to Hales, 1 run, this is slightly outside off stump, but Hales almost walks into the shot and flicks it along the ground through square leg

4.6 - Rabada to Root, SIX, top edge and it's cleared the rope. The reserve player, Behardien, takes a good catch beyond the boundary by timing his jump to perfection. Short delivery on the stumps, Root tries to pull, doesn't find the middle of the bat, but the edges these days are pretty big and it flew all the way

4.5 - Rabada to Hales, 1 run, good effort by Miller at mid-on, he saved three runs there. Hales on-drives this one along the ground, Miller runs to his left and puts in the dive to half-stop the ball with his left hand

4.5 - Rabada to Hales, wide, Rabada tries the slower ball, tried the leg-cutter there, but sprayed it down the leg-side

4.4 - Rabada to Hales, SIX, now that is from the middle of the bat and the boundaries here at not that big enough. Short delivery on the stumps, Hales is tall man, stood up nicely and pulls it hard over mid-wicket

4.3 - Rabada to Root, 1 run, just a hint of movement away from the right-hander on this short of length delivery, Root opens the face of the bat and runs it down to third man

4.2 - Rabada to Root, no run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Root cuts and finds backward point

2.6 - Rabada to Root, FOUR, now that is how you time a cricket ball. You don't have to swing at everything to collect boundaries. Probably Jason Roy will learn from this shot by Root. Low full toss outside off stump, Root opens the face of the bat and drives it hard onto the ground, beats backward point and third man had no chance

Joe Root, right handed bat, comes to the crease

2.5 - Rabada to Jason Roy, out Bowled!! The off pole goes cartwheeling! My word! Look at the maturity of Rabada, who is very fresh in international cricket and just 20 years old. He bowled a nasty bumper the previous ball and then follows it up with a nice and full delivery and gets his man. Excellent stuff from the youngster. In fact, Rabada kept it pretty simple and bowled a full delivery on the off stump, Roy wanted to muscle this out of the ground. He stepped out and swung right across the line, only to miss and have the off stump shattered. The crowd gets right behind the Proteas, who are off to a good start. Jason Roy b Rabada 9(15)

Rabada to Jason Roy, THAT'S OUT!! Bowled!!

2.4 - Rabada to Jason Roy, no run, Roy walks out of his crease and then tries to pull, played a little early and this bumper crashed straight into the grille. Is he alright? Oh yes he is. Checks his helmet and puts it back on to battle again

2.3 - Rabada to Hales, leg byes, 1 run, a freebie down the leg-side, but Hales misses out, was a short of length delivery, Hales missed the glance and it rolled into the on-side off the thigh pad

2.2 - Rabada to Hales, no run, short of length delivery on the off stump, Hales manages to defend, the ball hit the bat really hard on that occasion

2.1 - Rabada to Jason Roy, 1 run, good length delivery on the stumps, no movement on this one, Roy easily works it to mid-wicket

And with that run, Jason Roy will keep strike again. Alex Hales has not faced a ball yet!

1.1 - Kyle Abbott to Jason Roy, 2 runs, short of length delivery outside off stump, Roy cuts, but not from the middle of the bat, through cover-point and it's good enough for a couple of runs

0.6 - Rabada to Jason Roy, 1 run, not convincing again from Roy. Full and outside off stump, Roy outside-edges the drive through the vacant gully region

0.5 - Rabada to Jason Roy, no run, now swing and a miss! Full and just moving away from the right-hander, Roy goes hard on the drive, looking to break the shackles, but he was beaten all ends up

0.4 - Rabada to Jason Roy, no run, oh surely there is some extra bounce for Rabada. It's a hard surface and it is troubling Roy. Short of a length actually, but it bounced extra, totally took the batsman by surprise and he just hung his bat at it away from the body as he checked his defence

0.3 - Rabada to Jason Roy, 2 runs, this is tucked away along the ground to backward square leg, Rabada will not be happy with himself, for this was slightly down the leg-side

0.2 - Rabada to Jason Roy, no run, beaten now! Short of a length delivery just nipping away from the right-hander, Roy was surprised by the bounce as well, got opened up a bit and the ball almost shaved the outside edge

0.1 - Rabada to Jason Roy, no run, oh what a start to the game! Big gift for Jason Roy as Duminy drops what was an easy chance. Full and swinging away outside off stump, Roy leans forward and goes hard on the drive, doesn't bother to keep it down, hit it hard, the man at short cover just had to move his hands towards the ball and he spilled it

Jason Roy and Hales are at the crease. Jason Roy is on strike. Rabada will open the attack

Curtains on this tour then. If the first T20 match was about rust and underwhelming performances, the second was about the gigantic Protea monster getting up from the slump to consume England. Chasing a modest 135 in the first match, regular wickets shovelled the match deep until Morris's cameo sneaked South Africa home. This match was a one-way Johannesburg traffic with Amla and de Villiers mocking England's collapse with a brake-free chase. That's it. It was a pleasure to type out all the action live to your screens. It's cheers and goodbye from Pratyush Sinha on behalf of Ramakrishnan, Raju Peethala, Sriram and Krishna. Ta-ta.

ODI series review: It was a nosy dive for England - from the highs of a 399/9 in the first ODI to the lows of embarrassingly repeated collapses. South Africa, still recovering from the Test series loss, were blanked out in the first two ODIs and England looked set to win both the Test and ODI rubbers in South Africa after decades. But de Kock and Amla recovered to flog centuries in the third ODI and the Proteas never looked back after that. Morris, flying high on his T20 League contract, was slotted in and he carried South Africa home in an enthralling finish at this very venue to make the scoreline 2-2. ABD woke up when it mattered - in the finale and on the big Newlands stage. Raced to a century and Hales's ton in response fell short thus giving South Africa a series-sealing hat-trick of wins.

South African players lift the trophy and celebrate the 2-0 series win.

du Plessis: "It's important to learn the lessons from the previous games. We weren't great in the first three overs. We were excellent from the start today. They took it away in the middle but we came back well. We were 2-0 down in the series but came back well. If you take catches, you win matches. Proper cliche that. Effecting run outs is important especially against a quality team like England. Very happy with the clinical run chase. In the Newlands T20, the wicket wasn't good and we managed to take it deep. Today was a good wicket. AB makes it easy for all of us. Very happy for the series win. QDK sitting out is his own fault. If you give Amla the time to do his thing, he will take it. Quality player. We have an incredible record so far but lots of room for improvement. We were bad with the ball today but we brought it back in. There's a lot in the tank left. Thanks to everyone for their support."

Tahir: "Really pleased with myself, that I am doing well for the team. My main goal is doing it for my team, as long as I can. The more we played against them, they were going to come in with a different plan. I had a plan and kept practising in the nets to see what I need to do if they went that way. Had talked my plans with Faf. Things working out for us. Really happy that we are playing well. It's a big honour to be a part of the WC team for SA and I am looking forward to it. It will be a challenge but the pitches suits the spinners more in India. I have to practise for that and I am hoping for good things to come out of that."

Imran Tahir is the Man of the Series for his 5 wickets (Average of 9.2 and an Economy Rate of 5.75)

de Villiers: "I really enjoyed it today. You get value for your shots at the top of the order. Thanks to Faf and the management for batting me up the order. I love playing here at the Wanderers. The crowd's always amazing. They really get behind the team and it was no different today. The crowd brought us back in the game again today. Batting at the spot is the plan for the World Cup. Nobody is sure of a spot and everyone has to keep performing. I hope to win, and will open as long as they want me to."

AB de Villiers is the Man of the Match for his 29-ball 71

Morgan: "Two men set and then SA took away the game. 190 or 200 was on the cards but the collapse at the end was disappointing. And we started terribly with the ball, more so when bowling to the best of guys. The surface did play well and probably 200 would have been a good score. We made the surface look bad but we should have got 180+. It was disappointing. That run out was unlucky and it went bad for us from there. I don't think it was all about Amla and AB. We missed our lengths and let them play their shots. We are on the right track honestly. On one side we have been inexperienced but we have been playing the brand of cricket worthy of winning ICC events. For this WC and for the one in 2017. Certainly the talented players in the changing room have so much of ability. This is a beautiful country and they love their cricket. Everybody has been magnificent and everyone has wished us well here."

Statbuzz: This is the third highest T20I run chase at the Wanderers

How fortunes change! But for the first two ODIs, England have threatened but never enough to win. Morris started it all at Johannesburg in the 4th ODI and de Villiers exploded to draw curtains on this series tonight. England underwhelmed with 171 on board, and I say underwhelmed because Buttler looked set to scooter them to a goodish total. Might still not have been enough but this is a thumping. A defeat that can bury you and your hopes. A 2-0 series win for the Proteas that should make international waves ahead of the T20 World Cup. As always, South Africa looking ominous in a World Cup buildup and this time despite their pace spearhead rendered blunt.

14.4 - Jordan to du Plessis, FOUR, and he does! Saner compared to what has been the day's menu but it's still audacious enough. South Africa roar home by 9 wickets and win the series 2-0. The ball was overpitched and du Plessis creams the drive through cover to see the ball race away! This is a hammering. No fancy way to put it when there's more than 5 overs at your disposal

Over to du Plessis now.."You hit!"

14.3 - Jordan to Amla, 1 run, short of length delivery arrowing in, Amla twirls his wrists and turns this delivery to fine leg

Not done. A big hit away!

14.2 - Jordan to du Plessis, 1 run, back of a length delivery, du Plessis stays put and pulls out a back foot punch through cover

Bullring is buzzing..

14.1 - Jordan to Amla, 1 run, a dipping full toss, Amla stands back and punches it to deep extra cover

Chris Jordan [2.0-0-41-0] is back into the attack

13.5 - Moeen Ali to Amla, SIX, and it's into the crowd! Bowled wide of off, Amla got on his knee and fetched it with a swipe. Off the top-half but this foil-thin air often compensates for the mishit over deep mid-wicket

13.4 - Moeen Ali to du Plessis, 1 run, sees du Plessis charging and bowls it very slow. The ball turns, takes the inside half as du Plessis looks to clip and rolls through square leg

13.3 - Moeen Ali to Amla, 1 run, quicker delivery, Amla meets it with a shimmy and canes it to the sweeper cover

13.2 - Moeen Ali to du Plessis, 1 run, flatter outside off, du Plessis opens the blade and steers it to cover-point

12.5 - Adil Rashid to Amla, SIX, and now the 150 aptly comes up with a huge shot. Waited for the ball, swung his bat and swung the ball over long-on. A shot so gorgeous that the bat almost patted Amla's back in its followthrough

12.4 - Adil Rashid to Amla, no run, iota of width on that and Amla flogs it but straight to backward point

12.3 - Adil Rashid to du Plessis, 1 run, opens the face of the bat and guides this flatter delivery to backward point

12.2 - Adil Rashid to du Plessis, byes, 2 runs, the googly has befuddled everyone. du Plessis shimmied down, the ball turned in and made way through the bat-pad gap as he swung hard. Buttler didn't read it either and the ball ran through to give him two byes. So a missed stumping..

8.2 - Adil Rashid to de Villiers, out Caught by Root!! Against the run of play. AB departs but not before he bludgeoned the English bowlers all over the park.
