The men who matter are walking out to the middle. So, who will make it to the final? Let's find out. Anwar Ali has the new ball in his hand.

Peshawar Zalmi's death bowling was simply magnificent as Quetta Gladiators found out. In fact, they lost their last 8 wickets for just 43 runs. After a dismal start where they lost both their openers early, Pietersen and Sanga both stabilized the innings with a superb 79-run stand. However, just when they were looking to hit the top gear, Sanga fell to Sammy and that opened the floodgates for Peshawar, who didn't look back afterwards. Riaz was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/17 off his 3.3 overs, while he also effected a run-out in the final over. Now, it is upto their batsmen to go out and take their team through to the final. Can the Gladiators stop Peshawar's charge? Join us in a short while to find out...

19.3 - Riaz to Anwar Ali, out Caught by Sammy!! A hat-trick of wickets for Peshawar Zalmi and the Gladiators have been bowled out. Nothing but a length delivery outside off, Ali clears his front leg, wanted to hammer it straight back over the bowler's head, but miscues it completely off the toe-end, Sammy from long-off runs to his right and completes the catch. Jumps and punches the air in delight afterwards. Anwar Ali c Sammy b Riaz 1(5)

19.2 - Riaz to Babar, out Babar Run Out!! What is happening out there? Another one bites the dust. Angling away outside off, Babar clears his front leg, swings hard but can't connect. Ali was charging towards the striker's end but Babar was very late to get off the blocks. The keeper underarms the throw towards the bowler, who collects the ball and underarms it at the non-striker's end. Babar was short by miles. Babar run out (K Akmal/Riaz) 0(1)

Riaz to Babar, THAT'S OUT!! Run Out!!

Zulfiqar Babar, right handed bat, comes to the crease

19.1 - Riaz to Elliott, out Caught by Tait!! The wickets are falling, runs are not coming and the Gladiators are slipping away. The umpire checks for Riaz's front foot and he is fine on that count. This was short and around the leg stump line, Elliott pulls it away, doesn't bother to keep it down and plays it straight into the hands of Tait at short fine leg. Elliott c Tait b Riaz 5(9)

18.6 - Tait to Anwar Ali, no run, bumper in the channel well outside off, Ali once again looks to heave it away on the on-side, fails to connect yet again. This mindless swinging of the blade isn't helping the Gladiators' cause

18.5 - Tait to Anwar Ali, no run, short of length delivery just outside off, Ali wanted to slog that out of the park, swings across the line but can't lay bat on it

18.4 - Tait to Anwar Ali, leg byes, FOUR, short ball that slips down the leg-side, Ali can't pull it away fine, but the ball hits the thigh pad and runs away to the fence. Not the way the batsman would have wanted these runs, but he will be happy nevertheless

18.3 - Tait to Elliott, 1 run, in the blockhole this time, the line was around off, Elliott squeezes it out towards long-on and it's just another single

18.2 - Tait to Elliott, no run, slower ball that's slightly wide outside off, Elliott slashes hard but only connects with thin air

18.2 - Tait to Elliott, wide, down the leg-side this time, Elliott can't tickle it fine and the umpire exercises his arms

18.1 - Tait to Anwar Ali, 1 run, full delivery on the stumps, Ali looks to club it down the ground, can only drag it to long-on, just a single

17.6 - Riaz to Nathan McCullum, out Caught by Hafeez!! A great over for Riaz and it was only fitting that he gets a wicket from it. Slower short ball at the batsman, who clears his front leg and goes for the pull, ends up hitting it tamely and deep mid-wicket snaffles it without any fuss. Nathan McCullum c Hafeez b Riaz 1(4)

Riaz to Nathan McCullum, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

17.5 - Riaz to Nathan McCullum, no run, slower short of length delivery outside off, McCullum clears his front leg and swings across the line, can't connect once again

17.4 - Riaz to Elliott, leg byes, 1 run, bumper at the batsman, it was the slower one. Elliott goes through with the pull a little too early as he swivels, misses the ball and it knocks off the padding on the back of the helmet. The batsmen cross over for a leg bye. Thankfully, no harm done

17.3 - Riaz to Elliott, no run, slower short ball outside off, Elliott was looking to ramp it late past the keeper, misses it completely and the keeper collects it on the bounce. Brilliant bit of bowling in the death overs

17.2 - Riaz to Nathan McCullum, 1 run, run-out chance missed! McCullum chops this back of a length delivery towards backward point and sets off, Elliott would have been out by miles had there been a direct-hit, but luckily for him, the fielder fails to throw the stumps down

17.1 - Riaz to Nathan McCullum, no run, peach! Just short of a good length and nips away late around off, McCullum was squared up as he was pushing at it, he is lucky that he didn't edge it to the keeper

16.6 - Tait to Elliott, 2 runs, overpitching outside off, Elliott opens the face of the blade and squeezes the drive to the left of backward point, the batsmen take a brace before third man hunts it down. Hodge did well in the deep there

Nathan McCullum, right handed bat, comes to the crease

16.5 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, out Caught by Riaz!! Another one bites the dust and this time it's Nawaz, who has to go. This was bowled slightly wide outside off, was fairly quick as well. Nawaz clears his front leg and looks to slog it away on the leg-side, can only manage a top-edge and Riaz at third man doesn't make a mistake with the catch. 16.4 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, yorker length delivery in the channel outside off, Nawaz can't jam it out into the off-side

16.3 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, leg byes, 2 runs, on the pads this time around, Nawaz fails to glance it away fine and the ball rolls away fine past the keeper off the thigh pad, the batsmen take two leg byes before the fielder from fine leg gets to it

16.2 - Tait to Elliott, 1 run, length delivery outside off, Elliott drives it on the up, hit that with a lot of power but the fielder at backward point dives to his right and makes a good stop. Couldn't prevent the single though

15.6 - Hasan Ali to Elliott, 1 run, slower short of length delivery outside off, Elliott had to reach out for the ball, can only manage an under-edge that rolls away past the off stump, wasn't far away though. Off the mark with a single

15.5 - Hasan Ali to Mohammad Nawaz, 1 run, comes down the track and looks to heave this fullish delivery away, can only drag it towards deep mid-wicket off the inside half of the bat, just a single this time

15.4 - Hasan Ali to Mohammad Nawaz, SIX, hammered! Nawaz gives himself room by advancing down the track. Hasan sees that and follows him with a short ball. Nawaz didn't back out of the shot and middles the pull over the deep backward square leg fence for a maximum

15.3 - Hasan Ali to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, jumps out of the crease and looks to pull this short delivery away, swings hard across the line but only connects with thin air. Kamran Akmal was appealing for a caught behind, but don't know what's that about. Missed the bat by a long way there

15.2 - Hasan Ali to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, back of a length delivery angled across off, Nawaz taps it straight to point

15.1 - Hasan Ali to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, short of length delivery on off stump line, Nawaz defends it back down the pitch

14.6 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, 1 run, run-out chance missed! Nawaz bunts this short of length delivery in front of cover and sets off, Bairstow quickly picks the ball, turns and fires the throw at the non-striker's end. A direct-hit would have been out, but Nawaz survives as the ball misses the stumps. He had put in a dive to make his ground, but he still was well short. Lucky to be still out there

14.5 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, dropped! Pitched up outside off, Nawaz just smashes the drive to the right of mid-off, who quickly slides across, gets both hands to it but just when his elbows hit the ground, the ball pops out. Hasan Ali will surely be disappointed for putting it down.

14.4 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, good bumper from Tait. Pacy and a little too quick for Nawaz, who swivels and looks to hook it away fine, can't lay bat on it though

14.3 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, no run, short and angling away outside off, Nawaz looks to cut it away but this time he can't connect

14.2 - Tait to Mohammad Nawaz, FOUR, short of length delivery well outside off, Nawaz waits for the ball to arrive, uses the pace on the ball and steers it past backward point after getting on top of the bounce, runs away to the fence in a jiffy

14.1 - Tait to Pietersen, out Caught by Hasan Ali!! Pietersen is gone. Big, big wicket for Peshawar. This could well make a difference of 15-20 runs in the end. Full and on middle stump line, Pietersen comes across and looks to go over long-on, probably played the pick-up shot a little too early and the ball goes high in the air, long-on runs forward and pouches it comfortably. 13.3 - Riaz to Mohammad Nawaz, 1 run, to cover, direct-hit and KP would have been a goner! Nawaz punches this to cover and sets off, the fielder quickly runs forward, picks the ball and fires a throw at the striker's end. KP had already given up, but luckily for him, the fielder missed the stumps

0.2 - Hasan Ali to Bismillah Khan, out Caught by Bairstow!! Peshawar are ecstatic and this wicket gets the crowd going as well. Bismillah was really good in the last game, but not today. Slightly short and outside off, Bismillah was looking to pull it away, can only manage a top-edge that goes high in the air, Bairstow at backward point calls for it and takes the simplest of catches. Sarfraz: It is a big achievement. The target was really small for them, but the way the boys played, it was just fascinating to see. Really happy with the win and the boys deserve all the credit. I wanted to stay calm in those final overs. I was hoping that we could take two wickets in the final over and that's what exactly happened. The dew was a factor ever since the beginning. In big matches, a big score can put a lot of pressure on a team chasing. We didn't have a big total, but we still defended it well. I am happy with the kind of support we are getting. We are not worrying about the prize money, but just hoping that we can win the final as well.

Afridi: I want to congratulate Quetta Gladiators for a place in the final. The crowd deserved such a match that went right down to the wire. Sammy and Riaz, both were crucial wickets. They got out just when we were looking good for a win. It's because of the crowd that PSL is a big hit. This league will continue to grow and become bigger by the day. We want to keep bowling the way we did today. Our batting hasn't been upto the mark. My batting hasn't been great either and we all need to take the responsibility.

Nawaz: I knew it was a very big match today. We were playing against such a big team and I wanted to give my 110 percent. I am happy with how it turned out. It was difficult to grip the ball because of the dew, but I am happy with the performance. I was very unhappy with the kind of shot I played to get out. Hopefully, I can learn quickly from my mistakes and be a proper all-rounder in the future, do well in all the facets. It was great to play in front of such a big crowd.

Mohammad Nawaz is the Man of the Match

Peshawar got off to a shaky start, losing two wickets in two balls to Nawaz and they were reduced to 31/3 early on. Even though wickets kept falling at regular intervals, Shahid Afridi's men were not too far behind the asking rate. Darren Sammy looked really good for his 29-ball 38, but he got out just when things were looking brighter for Peshawar. Riaz too struck a few lusty blows to take his side close to the target, but it was Aizaz Cheema, who held his nerves in the final over, taking 2 wickets and giving away just 6 runs to take his side to the final. Stay tuned for the presentation...

Phew! What a match we had! There is nothing better than seeing your team win. At the same time, it's rather sad for Shahid Afridi and his men, who came so close to the finishing line, but just couldn't cross it. How big a win is this? They haven't won the final yet, but the reactions after the victory tells you how much it meant for both these teams. Skipper Sarfraz was so delighted that he throws himself on the turf, but only after he went on a celebratory run. Contrasting emotions for both these sides, but Afridi's men are still not out of the tournament.

19.6 - Aizaz Cheema to Asghar, 1 run, Quetta Gladiators are through to the final! They win by a solitary run! The players are ecstatic. Imagine Sir Vivian Richards running onto the field to hug his Gladiators, that's what is happening right now. Unbelievable scenes at the stadium. Coming to the ball, it was short just outside off, Asghar looks to pull it away, but can only get it off the splice of the bat and the ball drops to the left of the bowler, who quickly runs across and keeps the batsmen down to a single

Hat-trick ball/ final ball of the match coming up. 3 needed from the last ball. 2 for the Super Over. Shaun Tait walks out. Asghar is on strike though for the final delivery. A place in the final is on the line. Pressure! Pressure! Some more pressure! Everyone's feeling it. The players, the support staff and the crowd! Even me sitting here in front of this computer. 4.3 - Anwar Ali to K Akmal, out Bowled!! The Gladiators have their first wicket. It's a beautiful delivery to send Akmal on his way back. Lovely inswinging length delivery that nips back in sharply from outside off. Don't know what Akmal was doing there as he was trying to cut it away, the length was not there to play that shot and he pays the price for it. It goes right through the bat-pad gap and pegs the middle stump back. K Akmal b Anwar Ali 9(13) [4s-2]
