Welcome back.. KOL were set the same target in the 2014 T20 League final. So, they are not newbies to such a situation. If they get off to a good start, we can expect a cracker of a game. The players make their way out to the middle. Uthappa marks his guard. Chris Morris has the new ball. Smith is having a discussion with him regarding the field placements. A slip to start off proceedings...

Russell: It's a very good batting wicket. The batsmen batted really well. We are definitely backing ourselves to go and chase this down. It's a must-win situation. Hopefully, we can get off to a good start in the first six overs and then take it from there. It is very green and I thought it will be a little quicker than it is. We are going to back ourselves to get it.

For KOL, Andre Russell made his presence felt with a three-wicket haul. Remember, this is a crucial game for both the teams as the winner of this match will qualify for the playoffs.

Shane Watson played a compendium of superb shots to score a brilliant ton as RAJ posted a massive total. Despite wickets falling at regular intervals at the other end, Watson continued to touch compelling peaks. Even in the slog overs, Watson showed his class by playing a slew of fine shots. He reached his century in a mere 57 balls. Ajinkya Rahane too played his part with an enterprising knock.

Shane Watson is the Man of the Match for his 59-ball 104

Smith: 'It was a massive game for us, a must-win game. These are the situations you play cricket for and it's great to come out on top. It's been nice to have a bit of a break. The boys trained well last two nights and we did well today. We have got a lot of belief in this group. The attitude we came out with, the way we started was magnificent. Ajinkya Rahane and Watto were brilliant for us at the start. The boys did well with the ball in the end. We got to prepare well for our next game now.'

Gambhir: 'The destiny was in our hands today, but we messed it up. The credit goes to Rajasthan for playing like that. The way Shane (Watson) batted was magnificent and it was always going to be difficult for us. Good luck to Rajasthan for the playoffs. We knew that it was going to be a high-scoring game but 199 on the board was always tough. We knew we could chase it down, but there's no denying that it was always going to be difficult. All the sides are quality sides and that's what the table shows. There are certain games that we should have won and it is a very competitive league, this is what happens when there are so many quality sides playing together. We will finish with 15 points and still not make it. That shows the quality of this league.'

Earlier, Watson played a volley of thunderous strokes to pilot RAJ to a mammoth total. He reached his century in just 57 balls. Watson picked up two wickets as well. Ajinkya Rahane also played a handy innings.

After Shane Watson cracked a magnificent ton, Chris Morris put up a sterling performance with the ball as RAJ posted a fine win. With this victory, RAJ have qualified for the playoffs. On the other hand, KOL will have to wait for other results. On a pitch that offered decent carry and a bit of movement off the seam, Morris hit good lengths and made the ball talk. It was Morris, who landed the decisive blow by sending Andre Russell back to the pavilion. However, rest of the bowlers struggled with their lengths.

Watson has his arms up in joy. The RAJ players are hugging each other, they have finally managed to make to it through to the playoffs after losing their way in the middle. Gambhir and Co. though look stunned, they are now looking down the drain and will have to depend on other results, if they are to make it through. Hugs and handshakes being exchanged between players from the RAJ camp. Dravid too joins the celebrations. Mathematically, KOL still have a chance, but it is a very fine one. If BLR lose by a huge margin or the game between HYD and MUM is washed out, KOL will make it to the playoffs. There's no rain predicted for tomorrow in Hyderabad and KOL's chances look bleak as of now.
