Due to some technical problems, we are unable to cover live matches on our site and app. We are working on it and will be back soon. Please stay tuned for more.

One slip and a gully in place.

Well, thankfully, the situation is under control. The players are making their way out to the middle. We are good to continue. Dhoni and his boys break out of the huddle. ABdV and Amla will open the batting, Bhuvi takes the new ball.

He adds, "There is now a sizeable battalion of cops in front of the stand and announcements are being made repeatedly. A few bottles that are being targetted at the policemen too. But, it's slowly dying down."

Oopsy! Vishaal Loganathan, who is at the ground pings saying, "There's some minor crowd trouble. One of the stands, right beside the press box, has been screaming hoarse for some time now, and after the final wicket a number of bottles came raining down onto the ground."

The hosts were off to a decent start, but they lost their way soon after Morris trapped Dhawan in front. Both Kohli and Rohit were dismissed in quick succession. Rayudu then missed a full toss, ABdV took a low catch to send back Dhoni and Tahir removed Raina and Harbhajan off successive deliveries. Ashwin hung around for a while, but South Africa soon completed the formalities.

Perfect finish for South Africa. They need just 93 to wrap up the series with a game to go. Must say that the pitch has surprised everyone. Captains said that there were a lot of cracks, but the bounce and carry was generally very good. In fact, it (the pitch) was too quick for batsman at times and the ball even darted around. India would be happy to hear that there is no dew as of now, but I don't think the bowlers have enough runs in the bank.

17.2 - C Morris to Ashwin, out Bowled!! That's it! India are all-out for 92 - their second lowest total ever in T20Is. Nothing but a length ball from Morris, Ashwin walks and also makes a bit of room, goes for the inside-out drive but misses it completely and the ball hits the top of middle stump. Ashwin b C Morris 11(15) [4s-1]

C Morris to Ashwin, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

17.1 - C Morris to Ashwin, no run, short of length from Morris, Ashwin drives it back to the bowler

17.1 - C Morris to Ashwin, wide, short of length delivery down the leg-side, Ashwin fails to connect the glance

Chris Morris [2.0-0-15-1] is back into the attack

Mohit Sharma 0(4) Ashwin 11(13) Kyle Abbott 3-0-21-0

16.6 - Kyle Abbott to Mohit Sharma, no run, slower back of a length delivery outside off, Mohit swings, heaves, slogs, whatever but misses

16.6 - Kyle Abbott to Mohit Sharma, wide, and the free-hit will be carried over to the next ball. Banged in way too short, Mohit tries to play the hook but fails to connect, it was very high though. Mohit would have needed a ladder to connect

16.6 - Kyle Abbott to Mohit Sharma, no ball, the full-bunger above waist height just outside off, Mohit is surprised a bit and tries to manufacture a rushed cover-drive, ekes out an inside edge onto pad. Free-hit to follow!

16.5 - Kyle Abbott to Mohit Sharma, no run, short delivery outside off, Mohit looks for an upper-cut, but that's what he exactly ends up doing - just looking for an upper cut - never connecting it

16.4 - Kyle Abbott to Ashwin, 1 run, a slower fuller length delivery on off, Ashwin wrists it wide of mid-on, moves to the other end. What should this pair aim for - 100? 110? Honestly, anything they get is a bonus

16.4 - Kyle Abbott to Ashwin, wide, straying well down leg, Ashwin can't meet with his glance

16.3 - Kyle Abbott to Ashwin, no run, fuller length delivery just outside off, tamely driven on the walk to mid-off

16.2 - Kyle Abbott to Mohit Sharma, leg byes, 1 run, fuller length delivery angling down leg side, Mohit misses with his flick and the ball dribbles away into the leg-side

16.1 - Kyle Abbott to Ashwin, 1 run, back of a length delivery just outside off, that Ashwin-like dab once again on show down to third man. Must be his favourite shot, the understated DAB

Kyle Abbott [2.0-0-16-0] is back into the attack

Mohit Sharma, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Bhuvneshwar 0(2) Ashwin 9(10) A Morkel 4-0-12-3

15.6 - A Morkel to Bhuvneshwar, out Bowled!! That one definitely nipped back in off the seam. Can't fault Bhuvi too much. It was a cracker. Fraction fuller than a good length, around off, Bhuvneshwar looks for a drive down the ground leaving some gap between bat and pad. The ball deviates rapidly to find that gap and cannons into the middle pole. Bhuvneshwar b A Morkel 0(2)

A Morkel to Bhuvneshwar, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

15.5 - A Morkel to Bhuvneshwar, no run, short and wide outside off, Bhuvneshwar flashes hard at it with a cut, the extra bounce beats the outside edge

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, right handed bat, comes to the crease

15.4 - A Morkel to A Patel, out Caught by du Plessis!! They keep falling like nine pins (okay, I know it's only 8 but metaphor?). Fuller length delivery on the pads, Axar fails to keep the flick down as he played it well in front of his body, ends up chipping it to Faf du Plessis at short mid-wicket. Of all people, Faf du Plessis. A Patel c du Plessis b A Morkel 9(12)

A Morkel to A Patel, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

15.3 - A Morkel to Ashwin, 1 run, a back of a length delivery around the sixth stump line, Ashwin dabs it fine of third man. Tahir there has his hands full at the moment. Gets across quickly and slides to cut off the boundary

15.2 - A Morkel to A Patel, 1 run, only missed the yorker by an inch around middle, Axar hurries to get his front leg out of the way and squeezes out the drive to long-on

15.1 - A Morkel to A Patel, 2 runs, an off-pace delivery around middle, Axar walks across and meets with the sweep on the full, helps it along the turf behind square. Tahir sprints across the circumference from fine leg, puts in the dive and flicks it back into the field of play

Over: 15 1 1 1 1 1 1 IND 81/7
A Patel 6(9) Ashwin 8(9) Tahir 4-0-24-2

14.6 - Tahir to A Patel, 1 run, the flipper on the stumps, Axar was rushed in his pull and probably got hit high on the bat which messed up the timing. The ball scoops up for a bit through mid-wicket but no one there in the ring

14.5 - Tahir to Ashwin, 1 run, fullish outside off, driven to the man sweeping the off-side boundary

14.4 - Tahir to A Patel, 1 run, loopy delivery which lands very full outside off, Axar solidly drives through the cover region

14.3 - Tahir to Ashwin, 1 run, got in position very early looking to play the paddled sweep, Tahir bowls it very slow through the air. Ashwin meets it on the full and sends it towards fine leg

14.2 - Tahir to A Patel, 1 run, flatter delivery on the pads, Axar nurdles it round the corner

14.1 - Tahir to Ashwin, 1 run, floated up around off, Ashwin lunges forward and drives it down to long-off

The most striking aspect today has not been India's horror show with the bat (for me atleast), but the pitch. The tennis ball kind of bounce which you don't usually see in India (and out of all places - in Cuttack).

Over: 14 0 1 0 0 0 1 IND 75/7
Ashwin 5(6) A Patel 3(6) A Morkel 3-0-8-1

13.6 - A Morkel to Ashwin, 1 run, back of a length delivery outside off, dabbed down to third man

13.5 - A Morkel to Ashwin, no run, on a length around off stump, Ashwin taps it back to the bowler from the crease

13.4 - A Morkel to Ashwin, no run, pulls his length back slightly on a similar fifth stump line, Ashwin steers it towards that man at backward point

13.3 - A Morkel to Ashwin, no run, fuller length delivery around the fifth stump line, Ashwin's feet go nowhere as he pushes it towards backward point, the lack of deviation helped him to trace the middle of the bat

13.2 - A Morkel to A Patel, 1 run, just short of length delivery rising towards Axar's ribs, he rides the bounce and works it wide of mid-on

13.1 - A Morkel to A Patel, no run, fuller length delivery angling across off, Axar drives it gently to mid-off

Over: 13 0 1 W W 0 4 IND 73/7
Ashwin 4(2) A Patel 2(4) Tahir 3-0-18-2

12.6 - Tahir to Ashwin, FOUR, attaboy Ashwin! The flipper just outside off, Ashwin waits on the back foot and opens the face of the bat ever so late to dab it fine. The ball races away

12.5 - Tahir to Ashwin, no run, flatter on the stumps, Ashwin stands tall on the back foot and pushes it back to the bowler

Ravichandran Ashwin, right handed bat, comes to the crease

12.4 - Tahir to Harbhajan, out Bowled!! The crowd don't know what's hit them. The wheels are coming off for the home team. A well flighted googly from Tahir, pitches just outside off and turns back in sharply. Bhajji is bewildered, bemused, flustered - go on, throw anymore adjectives you want. He was looking to drive it into the off-side playing for the leg-break. The ball sneaks through the bat-pad gap, knocks over middle. Harbhajan b Tahir 0(1)

Tahir to Harbhajan, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Harbhajan Singh, right handed bat, comes to the crease

12.3 - Tahir to Raina, out Caught by Amla!! Tahir is off on his parade as he usually does. India are in tatters now. 69/6. Well flighted delivery just outside off, Raina looks for the drive but has to reach out for it as he isn't close enough to the pitch. Ends up meeting the ball well in front of his body, due to which he can't keep it along the ground. Chips it straight to the man at short cover. Raina c Amla b Tahir 22(24) [4s-3]

Tahir to Raina, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

12.2 - Tahir to A Patel, 1 run, might have been the googly this one, landed very full outside off, Axar push-drives it with the turn through the cover region

12.1 - Tahir to A Patel, no run, a floated up leg-break just outside off, Axar presses towards the pitch of the ball and drives it to short cover

Over: 12 1 0 1 W 0 1 IND 68/5

11.6 - A Morkel to A Patel, 1 run, back of a length delivery on the pads, Patel is too early in his clip, gets the leading edge which flies away behind backward point down to third man

11.5 - A Morkel to A Patel, no run, pitched right up on off stump, Patel gets half-forward and gently pushes it to mid-on

Axar Patel, left handed bat, comes to the crease

11.4 - A Morkel to Dhoni, out Caught by de Villiers!! The Indian skipper would be a disappointed man. A fairly innocuous delivery - on a good length and outside off, Dhoni is late on his attempted cut and the ball catches the toe-end. Dies on the way through to the keeper, who does ever so well to dive forward and complete the take. Made it look like child's play. Not sure if the shot was on as the length wasn't all that short enough. Dhoni c de Villiers b A Morkel 5(8)

A Morkel to Dhoni, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

The umpires are getting together to discuss if the ball has carried to the keeper. As is the norm, the third umpire is called for. Yes, that has carried. De Villiers' fingers are under the ball. Surely carried. The finger goes up to a hush from the crowd.

11.3 - A Morkel to Raina, 1 run, Short delivery on leg stump, Raina shuffles to move inside the line and pulls it away to fine leg. Was in the air for a while but bounced in front of the fielder

11.2 - A Morkel to Raina, no run, Raina gives the charge making a bit of room, the bowler sees him go and follows him with a good length delivery tucking him up, Rains tries to adjust and work it through the on-side but fails to get any bat. Wears it on the thigh pad

11.1 - A Morkel to Dhoni, 1 run, a gentle back of a length delivery outside off, the trademark bottom-handed cut from Dhoni to sweeper cover

Albie Morkel [1.0-0-3-0] is back into the attack

Over: 11 1 4 0 0 1 1 IND 65/4
Dhoni 4(6) Raina 21(21) Tahir 2-0-13-0

10.6 - Tahir to Dhoni, 1 run, googly again, Dhoni advances and sofly drives it to long-on

10.5 - Tahir to Raina, 1 run, in the airrrrrr and wide of the man at short cover. Googly from Tahir, Raina plays for leg spin and tries to flick, closes the bat face, the ball spins away from him and takes the leading edge, luckily for Raina it went well over Faf

10.4 - Tahir to Raina, no run, full and outside off stump, Raina drives it back to the bowler

10.3 - Tahir to Raina, no run, oh that was almost through Raina's defences. This was the quicker one from Tahir, Raina didn't pick it, was late in bringing his bat down, luckily the inside edge didn't go back onto the stumps

10.2 - Tahir to Raina, FOUR, friendly full toss and Raina has placed the drive nicely here. He didn't try to hit it too hard, knew that there was no one in the deep behind square on the off-side, just leans forward, opens the face of the bat as he drives and sends it past backward point

10.1 - Tahir to Dhoni, 1 run, advances and drives the flighted delivery down to long-off

Imran Tahir [1.0-0-6-0] is back into the attack

Over: 10 1 4 0 4 0 Wd 0 IND 58/4
Raina 16(17) Dhoni 2(4) Kyle Abbott 2-0-16-0

9.6 - Kyle Abbott to Raina, no run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Raina defends it to short cover

9.6 - Kyle Abbott to Raina, wide, banged way too short, the umpire doesn't like the height on that and calls a wide

9.5 - Kyle Abbott to Raina, no run, uppishly tucked, Raina wants a run, oh there is a miscommunication, Dhoni sends him back and luckily Raina had enough time to get back. Short of a length delivery on the stumps, Raina hops and works it to the left of mid-wicket, it didn't go straight to the fielder and that gave Raina the time to make his ground

9.4 - Kyle Abbott to Raina, FOUR, width on offer and Raina has crashed that past backward point. Short and outside off stump, Raina cuts hard, the ball was in the air but well wide of the man at backward point and it rockets to the boundary. Third man had no chance too

9.3 - Kyle Abbott to Raina, no run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Raina hops and defends towards cover

9.2 - Kyle Abbott to Raina, FOUR, punchy-drive from Raina, it's racing across the turf, Duminy dives and gets a hand on it, but it rolls back and touches the rope. Great effort from Duminy! Fullish and outside off stump, Raina plays with an angled bat and sends it through cover-point, Duminy races to his right and half-stops the ball, he managed to flick it initially but it spun back and hit the rope

9.1 - Kyle Abbott to Dhoni, 1 run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Dhoni punches it hard off the back foot to sweeper cover

8.6 - Rabada to Dhoni, 1 run, fullish and angling in, Dhoni flicks it through backward square leg, Raina hesitates for a while but as the ball goes past the man at square leg, he completes the run

8.6 - Rabada to Dhoni, wide, short and down the leg-side, Dhoni lets it go, ABdV does the rest

8.5 - Rabada to Dhoni, no run, back of a length and outside off stump, Dhoni hops and pushes it to point

8.5 - Rabada to Dhoni, wide, that's down the leg-side, easy call for the umpire

8.4 - Rabada to Dhoni, no run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Dhoni shoulders arms

MS Dhoni, right handed bat, comes to the crease

8.3 - Rabada to Rayudu, out Bowled!! What have you done, Ambati Rayudu? I can't believe my eyes. He's missed a straight full toss. Oh dear! What a toss to win for Faf. His bowlers have reduced India to 45/4. Nothing but a friendly full toss, probably Rayudu would argue that it was a pacy ball as it bowled at 142.7kph, but you can't miss full tosses like that. He was so late in reading the length and the ball sneaked through to knock over the leg stump as he hurriedly played the drive. Rayudu himself can't believe what happened there. Rayudu b Rabada 0(2)

Rabada to Rayudu, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

8.2 - Rabada to Rayudu, no run, full and outside off stump, Rayudu drives it to mid-off

8.1 - Rabada to Raina, 1 run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Raina guides it to third man

What an over from Albie Morkel, just three singles off it. It could have easily been more runs had he not changed his length on seeing the batsman advance for the 4th ball of the over. That meant Rohit was on strike and South Africa got him next ball. Small things do matter.

Ambati Rayudu, right handed bat, comes to the crease

7.5 - A Morkel to Rohit, out Rohit Run Out!! Stunning piece of fielding from Killer Miller. He was off balance while he threw, yet he was bang on target. India are in some trouble now, it's 43/3 inside 8 overs. Good length delivery outside off stump, Rohit defends it to the right of point, Miller swiftly runs to his right, picks it up with his right hand and fires the throw at the bowler's end, Rohit ran at full speed, but Miller was too quick for him and a direct-hit meant that Rohit was at least a yard short. Rohit run out (D Miller) 22(24) [4s-2]

A Morkel to Rohit, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

It's a direct-hit and Rohit is in trouble. Miller looks very confident. What a throw that was! Out by a mile! India are three down.

7.4 - A Morkel to Rohit, no run, on seeing Rohit dance down the track, Albie drags his length back, Rohit was looking for the big hit, but he had to gently cut it towards cover-point in the end

7.3 - A Morkel to Rohit, no run, Rohit is slightly late on the attempted cut shot and this short of length delivery beats him all ends up

7.2 - A Morkel to Raina, 1 run, width on offer outside off stump, Raina dabs it to square third man

7.1 - A Morkel to Rohit, 1 run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Rohit guides it down to third man

Raina 5(9) Rohit 21(20) Rabada 3-0-14-0

6.6 - Rabada to Raina, no run, fuller length delivery from Rabada, Raina pushes it off the front foot towards mid-off, the fielder at short cover dives and stops the ball, under-arms the ball towards the non-striker's end but misses. Rohit then tries to steal a run but Raina sensibly sends him back as there was a man backing up the throw

6.5 - Rabada to Raina, no run, the South Africans look convinced, but umpire Chettithody Shamsuddin simply shakes his head. In the end, ABdV manages a smile. Interestingly, this cross-seamed yorker swings back slightly, Raina is surprised by the length and is beaten as he tries to dig it out, he played that on one leg and the ball seems to have brushed the back boot before going to the keeper. ABdV dived to his right and took the catch, they went up for a caught behind appeal but not given

6.4 - Rabada to Raina, 2 runs, back of a length delivery on the stumps, Raina gets inside the line and tucks this uppishly through backward square leg

6.4 - Rabada to Raina, wide, woooofff! That's a great take by ABdV. Tell me something that this man can't do on a cricket field. Rabada attempts another bumper, but sprays it down the leg-side, it bounced very high as well and the keeper jumped and grabbed it with his left hand

6.3 - Rabada to Rohit, 1 run, slower ball low full toss from Rabada, Rohit flicks it along the ground to deep mid-wicket

6.2 - Rabada to Raina, 1 run, in the airrrrr and just wide of the diving AB de Villiers. Short ball rising steeply, Raina is late and hurried on the pull, the ball takes the glove and goes to the right of the keeper

5.5 - C Morris to Rohit, no run, wow, is this Cuttack or Durban? South Africa certainly feel at home. This delivery lifts from a back of a length outside off, Rohit was looking to knock it towards the off-side off the back foot, sees the extra bounce and just about drops his wrists in time

5.4 - C Morris to Raina, 1 run, back of a length delivery which gets appreaciable bounce off the pitch, Raina steers it with the angle down to third man

5.3 - C Morris to Raina, no run, fuller length delivery around the fourth stump line, Raina looks assured with his footwork. Gets his front foot right to the pitch and drives it towards mid-off

5.2 - C Morris to Rohit, 1 run, nips back in just outside off on a good length, Rohit gets a big stride forward towards the ball and taps it in front of backward point with bat and pad close together

4.5 - Rabada to Raina, no run, on a good length and angling away in the outside off corridor, Raina offers an impenetrable looking front foot defensive push to mid-off

4.4 - Rabada to Rohit, 1 run, short of length delivery which lifts nicely outside off, Rohit glides it down to third man

4.2 - Rabada to Kohli, out Kohli Run Out!! 1 run completed. Full toss around off stump, Kohli flicks it through the mid-wicket region, didn't seem like he was too keen on the second as he strolled across for the single. Rohit might have called him through. Yes he did and the second run was easily on. The fielder runs across and rifles in the throw at the striker's end leaving Kohli stranded. Kohli wasn't swift enough taking the first run and he payed the price. Massive blow for India. Kohli run out (C Morris/de Villiers) 1(1)

The ball seemed to have pitched on leg and probably would have clipped the off stump. Dhawan lbw b C Morris 11(12) [4s-2]

C Morris to Dhawan, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!

3.5 - C Morris to Dhawan, FOUR, Behardien got a hand on that, should check if it's made a hole in his palm. That was cut away with ferocity. Enough on it to reach the fence

3.4 - C Morris to Rohit, 1 run, slightly back of a length delivery on the stumps, Rohit pushes it with soft hands from the crease in front of mid-off and sets off

3.3 - C Morris to Rohit, FOUR, you bowl that with fine leg up, good luck to you. Fuller length delivery going down leg, all Rohit had to do was get some bat and he does so with his glance

3.2 - C Morris to Rohit, 2 runs, straying on the pads with a back of a length delivery, Rohit nurdles it behind square. A fumble at short fine leg allows the batsmen to return for a second

3.1 - C Morris to Dhawan, 1 run, early indications are that the ball is not quite coming on. Again on a fuller length around the fifth stump line, Dhawan stays leg-side of the ball and looks to go hard on the drive through the off-side, the ball might have just held up and he can only get an inside edge onto pad

2.5 - Rabada to Dhawan, no run, a shimmy down the track even before the bowler releases the ball. It was a slightly fuller length delivery around middle and leg, Dhawan looks to go down the ground with his drive but only manages to eke out an inside edge onto pad. He was cramped for room

2.4 - Rabada to Rohit, 1 run, back of a length delivery in the channel outside off, dropped in front of point with soft hands, Dhawan calls Rohit through for the single

2.3 - Rabada to Rohit, no run, ABdV is happy with this. A bouncer which absolutely takes off from the pitch, Rohit is quick to take evasive action and sways out of the way. A loud cheer from the keeper

2.2 - Rabada to Dhawan, 1 run, nice job Albie, putting in the dive and saving some runs. Fuller length delivery angling away in the channel outside off, Dhawan nails the extra-cover drive but mid-off makes the save

1.5 - Tahir to Dhawan, no run, flatter outside off, Dhawan pushes it towards cover off the back foot

1.4 - Tahir to Dhawan, FOUR, edged and four. Dhawan can afford a chuckle while Tahir is frustrated. That's the name of the game. Drifting away with the arm, Dhawan tries to play the cover-drive with laden feet and only manages an outside edge which races away to the fence

0.5 - Kyle Abbott to Dhawan, no run, where was Rohit going? He actually got in the line of the throw on his way back and took it on the body. Perhaps his right elbow. A direct hit and he would have been on his bike. He removes his glove and flinches in pain. Back of a length delivery swinging back in on leg, Dhawan misses out on an attempted clip and the ball deflects off the pad to cover-point. Rohit came charging down and had to be sent back. The key was that he didn't change direction while trying to make it back at the non-striker's end. So can't be given out for obstructing the field. Looks good to go now

0.4 - Kyle Abbott to Dhawan, no run, nearly in the blockhole first up for Dhawan - missed by an inch or so. Dhawan digs it out towards mid-off

0.3 - Kyle Abbott to Rohit, 1 run, back of a length delivery outside off, a nice firm punch off the back foot to the left of backward point, Behardien moves across and puts in the dive to his left to make a half-stop

0.2 - Kyle Abbott to Rohit, FOUR, poor, poor delivery. Rohit latches onto it in a flash. Short with width on offer, Rohit plays a controlled cut in the air and over backward point, beats third man to the fence

0.2 - Kyle Abbott to Rohit, wide, straying well down leg, Rohit misses with an attempted glance. Will feel he missed out on this occasion

0.1 - Kyle Abbott to Rohit, no run, a hint of shape away from Rohit, it was on a length around off, Rohit moves across on the back foot and offers a water-tight defence

Rohit and Dhawan are at the crease. Rohit is on strike. Kyle Abbott will open the attack

So that concludes proceedings from us here. Unfortunately this game will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. A section of the crowd has let Indian cricket down. I hope something of this sort never happens again. India will now have to play for pride on Thursday as South Africa have already sealed the series. Looking forward to your company for the third and final T20I which is scheduled to be held at the beautiful Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Goodbye!

Albie: "I arrived here on Friday, one practice session was nice. I really enjoyed bowling today. Couple of months ago, I thought I would never get an opportunity to play for South Africa again. I am grateful for this opportunity. They (India) are a world-class unit. I expect them to bounce back in Kolkata."

Albie Morkel is the Man of the Match

Faf du Plessis: "It's an easy job to be a captain when your bowlers perform like that. It was great to see that everything came together tonight, really proud of the boys. Albie was very good in his comeback game. I thought there was great variety in the first six overs. We bowled Imran up front. He was not afraid to bowl in the powerplay."

MS Dhoni: "I don't think we played good cricket. We lost quite a few wickets, we didn't bat well at all. In the last game, the batting department did well, but we still wanted to improve. One positive aspect about this team is that we have bounced back after playing bad cricket. We didn't play well in the build up to the World Cup, but we had a good World Cup. We did not have enough runs on the board today. Our spinners are bowling well. We have quite a few games before the T20 World Cup, we want to have a settled side for the tournament. We opted for the extra-spinner because they had a few left-handers. We felt Bhajji (Harbhajan) was a better choice for this track and that's the reason why we went with him."

Earlier, South Africa gave a slick performance in the field to skittle out the opposition ranks. Albie Morkel was the chief wicket-taker with three scalps. Imran Tahir and Chris Morris picked up a couple of wickets each. Their fielding too was top-notch. In particular, David Miller gave a fine exhibition of fielding by effecting a direct-hit to run-out Rohit Sharma. Ashwin gave India a semblance of hope by taking early wickets. However, the bowlers just didn't have enough runs on the board to defend.

However, with South Africa coasting towards the target, it fuelled the fury of the spectators as they started to throw more bottles onto the field. The policemen swarmed the stands and took the necessary action and the match got restarted. But due to further crowd trouble, the game was again suspended. Only after the fans from the top tiers were asked to come down, the game got completed. It has to be said that Cuttack may face serious consequences due to today's happenings.

South Africa have played brilliantly to register their second win and seal the T20I series. Unfortunately, the headlines for the match would be flooded with crowd disruptions that marred the proceedings. After several disruptions, South Africa won by 6 wickets. Initially, after India were bundled out for a below par score, some spectators in the crowd started to throw bottles on the ground. South Africa's innings though, started almost on time.

The players shake hands before walking off the field. Faf du Plessis is a happy man on the sidelines and why not! South Africa have played some quality cricket.

22:29 Local Time, 16:59 GMT, 22:29 IST: "It looks like all the fans from the top tiers have been asked to come down. It's a sensible move as fans can't really throw the bottles over the nets that have been put up around the stadium. All the top stands are nearly empty now," is the latest update from Vishaal.

22:18 Local Time, 16:48 GMT, 22:18 IST: A few announcements are being made. Duminy and Behardien look on from the dressing room. "The one stand that started the trouble is being emptied by the policemen," pings Vishaal. At this stage, South Africa are ahead by 15 runs on D/L.

22:14 Local Time, 16:44 GMT, 22:14 IST: "The crowd is rapidly emptying. At this rate, in 15 minutes there will be no crowd to disrupt the game. But it will be a real shame if the game were to end in front of an empty house. Cuttack may face some serious consequences as a result," says Vishaal.

22:05 Local Time, 16:35 GMT, 22:05 IST: What's happening here? The players are walking off the field. Looks like the match has been suspended. The umpires are having a discussion. More bottles are coming down. Confusion out there, we are waiting for more clarity. Chris Broad is monitoring the situation. The umpires, match referee and Faf du Plessis are having a chat.

Sunil Gavaskar on air is unhappy that the cops are just watching the match than being in the stands to control the crowd.

We are being informed that the players are taking their positions. We should have a resumption soon. Oh yes! Raina is ready to bowl.

21:57 Local Time, 16:27 GMT, 21:57 IST: Here's more from Vishaal, "The policemen are finally moving to take action. A team has been sent up to the terraces and they're trying to control the crowd from there. But there are way too many fans and too few policemen. The odd bottle is still being hurled down."

21:55 Local Time, 16:25 GMT, 21:55 IST: If the match is called off now, which would be a shame, South Africa would be declared winners as they are ahead by 17 runs on the D/L par score. I can recollect a similar incident taking place on Pakistan's recent tour of Sri Lanka, doesn't bode well for the reputation of the game.

21:50 Local Time, 16:20 GMT, 21:50 IST: This really doesn't leave a good taste. Yes, the team is hurtling towards a defeat but it's sport afterall. Match referee Chris Broad is seen pointing to the stands where the trouble is originating. Kohli shakes his head. The players from both teams are seated on the green. All this while a cricket match is hauled up. I am surprised that the crowd has been allowed to take bottles to their seats. Generally in India, host associations ensure that bottles are not allowed and it will be clearly mentioned on the ticket that bottles are prohibited.

21:43 Local Time, 16:13 GMT, 21:43 IST: More from Vishaal: "The announcements are being made again. The players have all converged in the middle. Some of the projectiles are being targetted at the stand where Sudhir Gautam and Ram Babu, India's superfans, are seated."

21:40 Local Time, 16:10 GMT, 21:40 IST: Once again there is some crowd trouble. "Some more bottles being thrown on the pitch. This time from two different stands. This could get worse soon if the authorities don't put a stop to it," pings Vishaal. 44790 is the official attendance for this game. 44790 disgruntled people at the stadium. Add a billion to that, keeping track of proceedings in the country. Play has been halted because of it.

9.6 - Bhuvneshwar to Duminy, 1 run, fuller length delivery driven just straight of mid-off, again the batsman push for the single, there is no fumble this time as Dhawan collects cleanly and spears the direct-hit at the non-striker's end. Duminy is too quick

And we go upstairs. Duminy is fairly confident of making his ground. Has good reason to be. Is a yard inside the crease when the direct-hit takes place

7.6 - Ashwin to de Villiers, out Bowled!! Ashwin has got de Villiers twice in two games. And that too with genuinely good deliveries. Making a habit to get the top players out. Sangakkara in Sri Lanka, and now ABdV here. Well tossed up delivery, was the over-spinner which lands on a length just outside off, de Villiers looks to play for some turn and looks to steer it into the off-side. Slip and leg gully in

Ravichandran Ashwin, right-arm off break, comes into the attack

Over: 1 0 4 0 4 Wd 0 0 RSA 9/0
de Villiers 8(6) Amla 0(0) Bhuvneshwar 1-0-9-0

0.6 - Bhuvneshwar to de Villiers, no run, got to be a top nut to fox de Villiers and this certainly was one. After bowling outswingers, Bhuvneshwar shapes this sharply back into the right-hander, de Villiers had no clue about it, tries to defend, but gets hit on the pad, probably it swung too much and was going down the leg-side

0.5 - Bhuvneshwar to de Villiers, no run, width on offer again, de Villiers cuts again but this time Rayudu intervenes

0.5 - Bhuvneshwar to de Villiers, wide, tries the bumper, de Villiers lets it go, Dhoni hops and gets a hand on it, they don't take a run though

0.4 - Bhuvneshwar to de Villiers, FOUR, tell you what, this match could be over in 10 overs if this man remains unbeaten. Short and outside off stump, de Villiers cuts uppishly over backward point, more from the toe-end of the bat but it's good enough to beat third man

0.3 - Bhuvneshwar to de Villiers, no run, fullish and angling down the leg-side, de Villiers misses the glance, the ball brushes the pad en route to the keeper

0.2 - Bhuvneshwar to de Villiers, FOUR, thank you very much says AB de Villiers and smashes it. Interestingly, the crowd cheer loudly for that hit. Short of a length delivery swinging away outside off stump, de Villiers camps on the back foot and cuts it hard through cover-point

0.1 - Bhuvneshwar to de Villiers, no run, gentle outswinger on a good length, de Villiers defends it to point

de Villiers and Amla are at the crease. de Villiers is on strike. Bhuvneshwar will open the attack
