BBL 05 Preview: Melbourne Renegades


The Renegades previous outings is nothing they can look back and cherish. Apart from one sem-final berth, they have hit rock bottom almost every other season.

Easily one of the candidates to snaffle the trophy this year, Renegades cannot have a better opportunity than this.

Dwayne Bravo with his flair on the field in every possible department and add to that the Jamaican 'Gaylestorm' who can make or break you within a fraction of a second. You cannot fathom things going topsy-turvy with their existence on the field.


With Finch leading this bevy of players and acquainted players in Mathew Wade, Cameron White and Callum Ferguson, each of whom have donned the national colours some time or the other, makes for a very balanced ensemble. 

In the bowling arena as well, Peter Siddle and James Pattinson will be the pace duo responsible to create early inroads.

This team has components of the current and past crop of Aussie players fluctuating amongst them and that can only be a good sign as every other Aussie side has been dangerous in it's own right.

In the spin department as well, they have the settled pair of Xavier Doherty and Nathan Hauritz to upset the rhythm of the batsman. 

Australia keeper Peter Nevill who has almost cemented his spot in the Test squad too will be excting  prospect to watch out for. Join in all the action on 19th December.
