Here's our analysis of the Team Strengths for IPL 2015.
The two lions leading on overall strength are the most consistent team of the IPL, Chennai Super Kings, who have come to the finals 5 times and never placed lower than 4th, and recently resurgent Kings XI Punjab, roaring from strength to strength on the backs of electrifying batting from Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, and Virender Sehwag. It's no coincidence that these two teams are also the strongest in terms of batting strength of the 8 IPL teams.
Leading the bowling, Kolkata Knight Riders rely on Sunil Narine, Morne Morkel, and now Umesh Yadav has been added to their formidable bowling attack, apart from their impressive stable of backup bowlers and all rounders (including no less than Shakib al Hasan and Andre Russell).
After an exciting auction, all the teams are looking strong on paper, whether they changed significantly or kept their older rosters. In the exciting game of T20, and especially in the IPL, you never know what might happen. Our analysis makes things a little less unpredictable.
*All the numbers are on a scale of 10, 0 being the weakest and 10 being the strongest.
