The humiliation of having to play a qualifying round behind them, Windies shall be looking to begin its title defence with a 100% record therefore Sri Lanka may well feel some fireworks on Saturday.  That said, they remain our bogey side and I'm never that cocky once the first ball is bowled.

Australia shall again begin the tournament as justified favourites and shall be challenged by such perennials as India, Pakistan and New Zealand all hoping to make various psychological breakthroughs.

Oz are no longer at the white of their flame and, as is only natural in team sports, the downcycle has begun.  They however play from the mind-set of every game already being won by them unlike everyone else and that alone makes them a concern.

Truly an open tournament and should make for some (experimental) fun times ahead.
