Australia and New South Wales (NSW) fast bowler Doug Bollinger has chosen to retire from all forms & formats of the game at the age of 36. The paceman from Sydney enjoyed a long career, debuting for NSW in the 2002/03 season. In this time, he has also represented Worcestershire and Kent in England, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 3 seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Despite making an impact when he did turn out in national colours, Bollinger was not a regular member of the Australian side. His international career was limited to 12 Tests (50 wickets at 25.92), 39 ODIs (62 wickets at 23.9) and just 9 T20Is (9 wickets at an economy rate of 7.11). He made his Test debut at Sydney against South Africa in 2009 and played his final Test at Adelaide against England in December 2010. His final ODI and T20I appearances were in 2011 and 2014 respectively. 

Bollinger became more popular with the expansion of T20 domestic leagues. In the Big Bash League (BBL) he turned out for Sydney Thunder, Hobart Hurricanes before becoming a regular part of the Sydney Sixers team. In India, Bollinger was part of the extremely successful CSK side that won consecutive IPL titles in 2010 and 2011, as well as the Champions League Twenty20 title in 2010.
