Pakistan announce ODI squad for West Indies ODIs

Pakistan have announced their ODI squad for their series against West Indies.

Umar Akmal and Asad Shafiq have been recalled to the squad, while Sami Aslam and Umar Gul have been shown the door.

Both Akmal and Shafiq last played for Pakistan in 2015. Akmal was earlier left out of the squad touring England due to disciplinary reasons

Shafiq had been left out of the ODI squad due to his inconsistent run in the format. However, good form in the recent National T20 Cup has brought him back into contention.

Mohammad Hafeez also misses out due to an injury. He is also not a part of the ongoing T20s against West Indies.

Pakistan ODI squad:

Azhar Ali (c), Sharjeel Khan, Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed (vc), Umar Akmal, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Yasir Shah, Rahat Ali, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, Sohail Khan.
