England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler has been signed by Lancashire, which the county announced on Friday. The 25-year-old is England's wicket-keeper in ODIs and T20s but has lost his place in Tests to Jonny Bairstow.
A dynamic limited-overs batsman, Buttler has just finished his maiden Indian Premier League campaign with
Mumbai Indians. He is due to play for English Twenty20 Blast champions Lancashire against Durham on Friday.
Buttler joined Lancashire from his native Somerset and coach Ashley Giles was delighted to welcome him to the club. Stating that Buttler is one of the most talented cricketers around, he said-
“
He has the ability to take games away from the opposition in all formats and he’s one of the leading all-rounders in English cricket.
”
Speaking about this, Buttler said that he was looking forward to repay the faith the club has on him and he also hopes to win more trophies with the club.
