Leg spinner Yasir Shah suffered a back injury during a practice session at Cazaly’s Stadium in Cairns, Australia.
As a result, he has been ruled of the team’s warm-up game against Cricket Australia XI.
The star bowler is being treated by medical experts and has been advised to have two days rest.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said,
“
Yasir Shah got a back injury during bowling in a practice session. He is getting treatment from medical experts at Cairns. He has been advised two day rest by the doctors and will not be able to participate in the warm up match going to be held in Cairns.
”
Yasir is ranked 9th on the ICC rankings for Test bowlers, the highest amongst Pakistan bowlers.
Pakistan will play three Tests and five ODIs during their upcoming tour of Australia.
