Cricket Australia on Wednesday announced India A will be taking part in a 50-over quadrangular series to be held in August and September in Townsville and Mackay, which will feature Australia A , South Africa A and Cricket Australia's National Performance Squad .
The teams will play 18 matches in total and after the limited-over assignment, India A will meet Australia A in two unofficial Tests in September.
CA's General Manager of Team Performance, Pat Howard said the inclusion of India A will enhance the competition and build the experience of young players against high-quality opposition.

The Indian selectors have hinted Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer will make the cut for India A.
Regulars Unmukt Chand, Mayank Agarwal, Naman Ojha , Sanju Samson are likely to board the flight to Australia, while Baroda allrounder Krunal Pandya and Chennai offspinner Murugan Ashwin , owing to their solid performances in IPL, might get their maiden India A call-up.
Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins will to make his return from a long injury layoff owing to a stress fracture 50-over.
