Brendan Taylor, modern Zimbabwean legend, has ended his contract with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and been given a new contract by Zimbabwe Cricket. He has said that he chose to go home for family reasons.

Taylor was an integral part of the Zimbabwe side prior to signing a Kolpak deal with the English county side in 2015. This followed an impressive showing in the 2015 World Cup, including a fantastic century in a losing cause against India.

His time at Nottinghamshire has been similarly successful, as he contributed key partnerships on numerous occasions, finally helping them win both domestic white ball tournaments. Most recently, in the final of the T20 Blast, he made an essential 65 from 49 deliveries that helped Notts win the title. 

Taylor returns at just the right time for Zimbabwe, who are looking to greatly improve their ODI game and qualify for the 2019 World Cup in England.
