Former Sri Lankan captain Hashan Tillakaratne has been appointed as their batting coach ahead of the series against India.
Tillakaratne worked with the development teams before being promoted to coach the senior side ahead of the series.
Asanka Gurusinha, the team's manager said,

Hashan's experience in Test cricket will help us immensely. The batsmen can pick his mind on how to tackle pressure and how to bat for long. He is doing a great job with the boys.
”
Last week, Chaminda Vaas was appointed as their bowling coach after Champaka Ramanayake stepped down.
