Younis Khan ruled out of 1st Test against West Indies

Pakistan batsman Younis Khan has been ruled out of the first Test against West Indies.

Doctors have advised him 10 days of rest to regain his strength after recovering from a bout of dengue fever.

A PCB spokesperson stated,

Younis has informed chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq that he won't able to play the first Test. The selectors are yet to announce the squad, but it’s is confirmed that Younis will not take part in the opening game in Dubai.

He last featured in Pakistan’s tour of England in August and last month he contracted dengue.

Pakistan are set to play their 1st Test against West Indies from October 13, 2016.
