West Indies Cricket Board announces President's XI team to face India

Guyana wicketkeeper-batsman Leon Johnson will lead the 12-member West Indies Cricket Board President's XI in the first two-day tour match against visiting Indians starting Saturday at Warner Park in St. Kitts.

Johnson, who was dropped from the side after the South Africa series in January 2015, has pushed his way back into contention after scoring 807 runs at an average of 57 at the first-class level.

The selection panel of the WICB have included many Test hopefuls against formidable Indians including Jermaine Blackwood and Rajendra Chandrika.

The squad has as many as six players who have played Test cricket in the last two years. 

Indian team will be departing for their 49-day tour of the Caribbean early Wednesday morning from Mumbai.

Virat Kohli's men will play two warm-up matches in St. Kitts before the four-Test series starts at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua from July 21.

August 18-22: 4th Test - Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad
