Australia have called up Joe Burns and Cullum Ferguson to the Test squad for the 2nd Test against South Africa.
Shaun Marsh has been ruled out of the series due to a broken finger.
Ferguson has played 30 ODIs and 3 T20s but has not been a part of the national team since 2011.
Burns last played for Australia in February, as he was dropped for Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka.
Shaun Marsh will undergo surgery to the finger, which is coincidentally the same finger he broke during the tour of Sri Lanka and which subsequently ruled him out of Australia’s tour of South Africa.
Australia are currently 0-1 down in the ongoing Test series against South Africa.
