Naman Ojha announced captain of India A Squad

Wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha has been named as the skipper of the India A squad for the two four-day matches against Australia A and the quadrangular series involving South Africa A, Australia A and Cricket Australia's National Performance Squad (NPS).

The senior selection committee made quite a few changes, keeping in mind the recent performances of the players in the series vs Zimbabwe.

Unmukt Chand, who was the previous captain has been dropped and Naman Ojha will lead the team in both series.

Shreyas Iyer, who had a fantastic Ranji Trophy season, received his maiden India A call-up for an international tour. 

Left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem and Faiz Fazal also received call-ups after their impressive performances in the Ranji Trophy as well as Fazal’s performance in the series vs Zimbabwe.

Axar Patel, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jaydev Unadkat and Barinder Sran, who were all part of India's tour of Zimbabwe, were also named. 

Apart from Chand, Mayank Agarwal, Rishi Dhawan, S Aravind, Karn Sharma and Gurkeerat Singh were dropped from the squad.
