KKR rope in Shaun Tait to replace John Hastings

Former Australia fast bowler Shaun Tait has been roped in to replace the injured John Hastings at Kolkata Knight Riders for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Hastings had to pull out of the IPL early and return to Australia due to an ankle injury last month.

Kolkata chief executive Venky Mysore confirmed Tait’s signing.

Tait has previously played for the now-suspended Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, where he picked up 23 wickets at an average of 27.82 in 21 matches.

Tait last played for Australia during the T20 series against India in January, earlier this year.

He also played for Peshawar Zalmi in the first edition of the Pakistan Super League. Recently, he was re-signed by Glamorgan for the second half of the NatWest T20 Blast tournament.
