South African allrounder JP Duminy has withdrawn from the upcoming season of IPL.
Duminy, who is a part of Delhi Daredevils, has withdrawn from the tournament for “personal reasons.”
He said,
“
It has been a very difficult decision for me to make, but it was for purely personal reasons. I certainly hope to play a part for the franchise in the near future.
”
It is understood that the reason for him pulling out is to concentrate on the South Africa assignments, particularly the coveted Champions Trophy.
This comes as a blow to Delhi Daredevils, who will also miss Angelo Mathews as he is recovering from an injury.
The 10th edition of the IPL begins on April 5, 2017.
