England pacer Tymal Mills in for Badree at Heat

Brisbane Heat has signed England T20 International left-arm paceman Tymal Mills to replace injured West Indies leg-spinner Samuel Badree.

Badree suffered a minor hamstring injury in the loss to the Sydney Sixers earlier this week.

In 48 T20s Mills has taken 56 wickets at 21.39 each with an economy rate of 7.55 per over.

Mills made his English T20I debut last July and will use his stint with the Heat to build momentum for the upcoming T20 series against India in India at the end of the month.

Heat coach Dan Vettori said,

With Sam Badree and Josh Lalor both out injured at the moment, the opportunity to provide additional variety to the attack was very attractive. Tymal has been going well for Auckland so he is match-ready.

Mills is expected to link with the Heat early in the week and under BBL rules governing replacement players, must either play or be in the 12 for the next match he is available for.

Brisbane Heat recently defeated Perth Scorchers to top the table.
