England have announced their Test squad for their tour of India.
England have announced a 16-man squad which does not include James Annderson.
Anderson is recovering from a shoulder injury and was already ruled out of the 1st Test but was expected to be fit for the rest.
England coach Trevor Bayliss said,
“
The medical staff are very pleased with how he has come on in the last week or so. He has had more scans and is looking good. They haven't given any indication of when he might be available, but definitely out for the first Test in India.
”
A few weeks back, Anderon was confident of recovering in time for the India series but by the looks of it, he will be out till at least the 4th Test.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged from the current one touring Bangladesh.
