Bangladesh suffers a huge blow as left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny and pacer Taskin Ahmed who were reported for suspect action, have been suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect after an independent assessment found their bowling actions to be illegal. Both bowlers underwent assessments in Chennai last week.
They played in Bangladesh's first match of the Super 10 stage, against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens. Sunny took 2 for 34 and Taskin claimed 2 for 32. Bangladesh Cricket board are yet to name a replacement for them. Sunny and Taskin were an integral part of Bangladesh's World T20 campaign. They were reported after the qualifying match against the Netherlands.
