Australia have called up uncapped players Billy Stanlake and Chris Lynn to the ODI squad for the ODI series against Pakistan.

Experienced batsmen Aaron Finch and George Bailey have been axed from the squad.

It came as a surprise that the two batsmen, who are in the top 20 ICC ODI rankings, have been dropped from the squad due to their lack of performances in recent times.

Australia’s coach Darren Lehmann said,

Big call. Obviously he's been an integral part since the World Cup but performances for Aaron have not been what we would've liked and what he would've liked. He hasn't made a hundred since Canberra last year.

”

Batsman Usman Khawaja has also been recalled to the squad after having missed out on the Chappell-Hadlee series.
