Two slips in place and "play" says the umpire. Off we go then...
The 50-run stand between Hafeez and Sarfraz injected some life but both gifted their wickets in successive overs and it was followed by a hara-kiri from the middle order. It was an unpredictable and unassuring Pakistan who turned up today and now they find themselves in a spot of bother. Babar Azam's scratchy knock was ended by Woakes' short ball. Skipper Azhar Ali and Hafeez played with good sense of calmness for a brief period. It appeared as if Pakistan are on course to register a mammoth total. Morgan: The most pivotal performance was the chase. The pitch spun a lot and the way Taylor and Buttler played was outstanding. Azhar Ali: "We had a very good start but in the middle we lost it. Three run-outs and some unnecessary dismissals in the middle overs dented us. I think it just disturbed the whole rhythm of the batting line-up (talking about his run out). Zafar Gohar, eventhough he's playing his debut game, he played like an experienced bowler an hopefully he'll have a bright future. Yes we should try and put a better performance in the last game."
Taylor: "I'm not sure about (when asked if he is the best player of spin in the current line-up). Morgy (Morgan) and Hales got us off to a good start and Buttler did well too by sticking around. We played exactly the way we wanted to play on this surface. We tried not to play straight-bat shots. We knew it was spinning, so we tried to sweep and played across the line as much as possible."

The highlight of England's innings was Jos Buttler getting back to form as the England keeper has been under the pump since the Ashes series. Taylor, just like the way he batted here in the final Test, compiled a hard-earned fifty and ensured none of the boundary balls went scot-free. Only two things for Pakistan to cherish from this game: Zafar Gohar's impressive debut and Mohammad Irfan's breathtaking spell.
England didn't get to the best of starts as they lost Roy and Root inside the first six overs. Morgan and Hales held the innings together and stitched a 60-run stand for the third wicket. Hales looked good in his stay, but the 20-year old Zafar Gohar nipped him out with a lovely flighted delivery. Morgan soon followed Hales as he missed a straighter one from Malik. Once Morgan got out, it seemed as if Pakistan were right back in the game. Although Taylor and the under-pressure Buttler had a tough initial period, the duo nudged and nurdled their way to a match-winning 117 run partnership and helped England lead this 4-match ODI series.
