Due to some technical problems, we are unable to cover live matches on our site and app. We are working on it and will be back soon. Please stay tuned for more.

Welcome back for the run chase. The players are out in the middle.

Once Guptill was dismissed, the visitors lost their way a bit. Colin Munro and James Neesham made their presence felt with cameos. But as they had got a very good start, New Zealand perhaps could have ended up with a few more runs on the board. For the home team, David Wiese and Kagiso Rabada bowled well, and were rewarded with wickets. Rabada bowled with a good burst of pace. In fact, in the 19th over, he was on a hat-trick, when he took the wickets of Neesham and Munro in successive deliveries. On the other hand, Wiese gave a good account of himself with clever changes of pace. It is a flat deck and South Africa will still fancy their chances of chasing down the target.

Riding on the back of Martin Guptill's thrill-a-minute knock, the tourists reached a good total. It was Guptill and Williamson, who gave them a rollicking start with a 52-run stand. It was a partnership that was replete with power and timing. Both of them played some sumptuous lofted strokes and flicks. Even after Williamson was dismissed, Guptill continued to flay the South African attack and composed his sixth T20I fifty. He was eventually dismissed by Behardien.

Milne 10(7) Nathan McCullum 1(2) Kyle Abbott 4-0-44-0

19.6 - Kyle Abbott to Milne, FOUR, good way to end the innings. Abbott misses the yorker, dishes out a full toss on the stumps, Milne makes a bit of room and lifts it over mid-on, the ball trickles away to the fence

19.5 - Kyle Abbott to Milne, 2 runs, pitched up outside off, Milne slices it up and over extra cover, Rabada runs to his right at sweeper and keeps it down to a couple

19.4 - Kyle Abbott to Milne, no run, just short of yorker length, the line is just outside off, Milne backs away and can't lay bat on that. It has been a good over so far, will Abbott be able to finish well?

19.3 - Kyle Abbott to Nathan McCullum, 1 run, short of length on off, McCullum makes room and looks to punch, ekes out an inside edge onto the pad, ball rolls to the keeper and Milne calls for a quick single

19.1 - Kyle Abbott to Milne, 2 runs, fullish and around off, Milne moves away to the leg-side, goes hard on the drive, ball squirts off the inside edge and past leg-stump to fine leg

Nathan McCullum 0(1) Milne 1(2) Rabada 4-0-30-3

18.6 - Rabada to Nathan McCullum, no run, lifter on the stumps, McCullum backs away and looks to ramp it over the keeper, it is too high and he doesn't make contact. An excellent spell from Rabada, his figures read: 4-0-30-3

18.5 - Rabada to Milne, 1 run, short delivery on leg-stump, Milne swivels and mistimes the pull to fine leg

18.4 - Rabada to Milne, no run, Milne manages to keep it out. Bowled with a lot of gas, 150kph good length delivery on off, Milne defends down the wicket, he did well to get his bat down in time

Hat-trick ball coming up. He has an ODI hat-trick. Can he get one in T20Is? A slip in place. Three men inside on the off-side...

Adam Milne, right handed bat, comes to the crease

18.3 - Rabada to Neesham, out Bowled!! Rabada is on a hat-trick. It was a poor shot from Neesham. A length delivery that was in the slot, Neesham needlessly walked across his stumps and went for the scoop over short fine, he missed and the ball crashed into middle stump. Third wicket for Rabada. Neesham b Rabada 28(19) [4s-3 6s-1]

Rabada to Neesham, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Nathan McCullum, right handed bat, comes to the crease

The key there was he had his eyes on the ball all the time. Munro c de Villiers b Rabada 18(7) [4s-3 6s-1]

17.5 - Kyle Abbott to Munro, SIX, the best of the lot. Pitched up delivery, he became predictable there, Munro plants his front foot forward and lofts it over mid-off. It was not hit hard, but the timing takes it all the way

17.4 - Kyle Abbott to Munro, FOUR, Abbott errs in line and pays the price, drifts onto the pads, Munro glances it fine, Wiese was square in the deep, runs to his left and puts in the dive, but the ball escapes to the fence

Williamson and ABD are handed the trophy. The two skippers pose for the cameras. That brings an end to proceedings. The T20I series is done and the ODIs start from Wednesday. Looking forward to your company then. Take care, Cya!

Guptill: "I like to give myself a little bit of time and see what the wicket is doing. You have to be on top of your game when playing against South Africa. Me and Kane (Williamson) were able to build a partnership and lay the platform. We are looking forward to the ODI series."

Martin Guptill is the Man of the Match and the Man of the Series.

Williamson: "It's okay (talking about his knee). Overall it is a much improved effort from us. We touched on the areas we wanted to. Little extra runs towards the end gave us those 20 extra runs. The wicket slowed down and was difficult to bat second. But we were quite smart with how we went about our work and that was the most pleasing part. When you play South Africa, they always come hard - a quality side and they always put pressure. It needed such an effort going into the ODI series. We are a young side and it was great for us to step up from the last game. It is important to do that again in the ODIs."

AB de Villiers: "I thought they batted pretty well. 177 was an above par total. It was always going to be a tough ask, but I had the faith in the boys. We kept losing wickets at crucial times, including mine. I think they were 20 runs above par. We were definitely below par with the ball. I never go out to blame the toss, but we would have batted first on this wicket. The wicket was a little bit up and down, we would have liked to put pressure on New Zealand when they were batting. We are fairly happy with our preparation for the World T20. Most of the guys got an opportunity to perform in the series."

Earlier, on the back of an enterprising 52-run stand between Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill, New Zealand found themselves in a position of strength. Guptill even went on to compose a quick-fire fifty. James Neesham and Colin Munro then essayed handy knocks at the back end of the innings. For South Africa, David Wiese and Kagiso Rabada proved their worth with the ball. In fact, Rabada was on a hat-trick in the 19th over when he took the wickets of Neesham and Munro in successive deliveries. South Africa have a lot to ponder as they continue to lose the plot, while chasing down a target. On the other hand, the tourists would be pleased with the way the relatively inexperienced side fought back after being defeated in the first match.

New Zealand took wickets at regular intervals as the hosts slipped towards a defeat. With this win, New Zealand levelled the two-match T20I series 1-1. It was the spin twins, Nathan McCullum and Ish Sodhi, who bowled with flight and guile. The seamers supported them well. In particular, McCullum taking the prized scalp of AB de Villiers put the tourists in front. Behardien and David Miller tried to up the ante, but they had too much to do. The hosts would rue the fact that they lost wickets up front.

2.5 - McClenaghan to de Villiers, no run, gee! What a shot first up, McClenaghan is very lucky that de Villiers hit it straight to the man at cover-point. Full and outside off stump, de Villiers cracks the drive to perfection but doesn't get the placement right

AB de Villiers, right handed bat, comes to the crease

Big roar from the crowd as AB walks out

2.4 - McClenaghan to van Wyk, out Caught by Ronchi!! Oh that's unlucky for van Wyk. Slower short ball angled in from round the wicket, it was slightly down the leg-side, van Wyk got inside the line and tried to pull it fine, but he went through with the shot a touch too early, it took the back of the bat and then the glove before popping up in the air, the keeper completed an easy catch and the umpire raised his finger. New Zealand have got the early wicket they were looking for. van Wyk c Ronchi b McClenaghan 3(5)
