BBL 05 Preview: Melbourne Stars

( 2576 views )

Melbourne Stars have featured in every semi-final so far in this BBL. However, they have not been able to pack a punch and go any further. This season the Stars would like to follow their consistent run and end that winless streak.

They possess the ammunition for mass destruction with a side that can tear apart into any opposition. Perhaps they just need a fair share of luck to help them ease past the semis.

Glenn Maxwell, Kevin Pietersen and David Hussey all packed in one squad in every essence of a T20 is going to win you the game.

Moreover, the multi-faceted Faulkner, a T20 specialist further adds to the firepower of this team. If that was not enough, Luke Wright is another explosive batsman up the order who can light the match ablaze and also Peter Handscomb who scored a crafty yet masterful ton last season.

Ben Hilfenhaus will lead the pace attack for the Stars and he is a smooth operator, be it at the start of the match or during the death overs.

They have their spin department too taken care off with the services of Adam Zampa and Michael Beer.

With John Hastings, Marcus Stoinis and Rob Quiney this side is not devoid of talent nor depth. Then the question that arises is that, will the Stars be able to deliver once they enter into the battlefield? Tune into all the action on 18th of December.
