Dada to play in masters champions league

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly will play in the upcoming  Masters Champions League (MCL) which is going to be held at United Arab Emirates (UAE) in January next year. The 'Prince of Kolkata' will play for 'Libra Legends' team which was launched on Monday at a ceremony in Mumbai.

The team, owned by Pooja Jhunjhunwala, Lalit Kiri and Hanwant Kahtri of Popcorn Sports & Entertainment Private Limited, is the first team to be unveiled for the league. Its jersey and logo was also unveiled. However, former India cricketers Chandrakant Pandit and Kiran More did not turn up.

The MCL, a Twenty20 league planned for retired cricketers in the UAE next year, had got approval of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The players, who have officially retired from international cricket, will recreate their magic at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium destinations which have previously hosted cricket tournaments including the IPL.

Recently the south paw had also played in the Cricket All-Stars series. He had turned out for Sachin's Blasters and enthralled the crowd in USA with vintage sixes and ended up scoring a half century in the last match of that series.
