Gautam Gambhir, opening batsman for India, Delhi, Delhi Daredevils and ICC Test Player of the Year (2009), has announced his retirement from cricket.
The left-hander, part of India's 2007 World T20 and 2011 World Cup winning sides, scored over 10,000 runs in international cricket for India across 58 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20Is.
