Sky Sports BBC sign new deal with ECB

England Cricket Board has made an agreement with Sky Sports and BBC to make them a broadcaster. 

Sky Sports will be broadcasting all of the English cricket including County Cricket, Tests, ODIs T20s and also the Women cricket. 

The new deal signed between the two is worth GBP 1.1 billion and Sky Sports will continue to broadcast English cricket from 2020 upto 2024. 

This new deal will begin in 2020 by showing two T20 matches of England men and one T20 Match of England women per year, they will also show the T20 domestic league 10 matches of men and 8 matches of women which will begin in 2020 itself.    

They have also extended their radio broadcasting deal and have secured primetime evening highlights. 

ECB CEO, Tom Harrison said,

 

 

 

 

This is a great result for cricket. ECB has secured the reach, revenue and relevance the game deserves, to help it to grow.

 

 

 

 

Sky Sports have extended their partnership into the third decade with ECB, whereas ECB has returned to the BBC first time in two decades.
