Pakistan ODI skipper Azhar Ali has been ruled out of the 2nd and 3rd ODI against Australia due to a hamstring injury.
However, he is expected to return for the 4th ODI.
Mohammad Hafeez has been named as the stand-in captain.
Hafeez has captained Pakistan in Tests and T20s previously but not in ODIs.
Pakistan have lost the Test series to Australia and are currently 0-1 in the 5-match ODI series.
