Commentator Mark Nicholas was taken to the hospital after the lunch break of the 2nd Test match between Australia and Pakistan.

Nicholas was overcome by a stomach complaint in the early afternoon. He was rushed to the hospital.

Paramedics helped him from the broadcaster's facilities, reportedly sweating profusely and in pain on a stretcher.

Channel Nine, for which he commentates issued a statement saying,

Mark is doing much better this evening and is in good spirits. He wants to thank the MCG staff for all their help, and the Channel Nine viewers and Cricket community for their good wishes.

”
